TweetDirty restrooms and changing areas. Like i cant stand the dirty sinks, and toilets, showers etc. I don't even use them anymore if i can help it.

Tweetbro u would love our facility! of course its new but our shower area is all ceramic tile. with glass shower doors. not many peoples homes are this nice .
If bigger is better then im better than ever !
Tweettop-40 music is horrible.
Keep equipment in top working condition.
Do not allow people to leave plates loaded on bars and equipment. Don't just pin up a dumb little sign... ENFORCE IT.
Have a place for people to do barbel curls OTHER THAN the squat racks.
Tweeti posted this on another board also and its funny in a way.. music is big problem and reracking of weights!
If bigger is better then im better than ever !
TweetWell, from the standpoint of a gym owner, picking music to please the largest percentage of the people in the gym is the concern. My savior is an MP3 player.
I've been known to catch people before they leave the gym and tell them they left a machine loaded. I am not a gym owner, just someone with a pet peave.

TweetI hate everything about my gym. Only reason i'm still there is cause it's the cheapest in the area.
Tweetthe golds in our area have a small TV on each piece of cardio equipment...its a nice touch, but probably expensive as hell.
no one at my gym unloads and it doesnt bother me really.... there is no difference in load and remove or remove and reload.
TweetI used to manage a World Gym Executive Club here in Colorado Springs. Talk about picky ass members. When you are charging $99 per month and a $200 enrollment you can bet your butt you are getting the snobbiest individuals in town. The worst part was these people were the worst theives. We provided all the personal hygene products needed and got them from Aveda. The women would steal the stuff every damn day.
But that was nothing compared to the Cory Everson gym I managed back in Georgia. Women are the pickiest but at the same time the easiest. As long as the gym and bathroom room are SPOTLESS, you have no problems. Sounds easy enough right? Wrong! Women are phukin filthy. They leave their damn tampons on the floor, the leave stuff everywhere. I have never seen slooppier memebers than the ones at the Women Only Gyms. I even managed a gym in a very low income part of town and they were even cleaner and more honest than either of the two above club's members. It just goes to show you, never never never judge a book by the cover.
Now, for my pet peeves. I can't stand dirty locker rooms. I can't stand dirty or broken equipment. But most importantly, I can't stand most of the members! The inconsiderate ones who think it's their gym and you are just visiting. I want to drop a 140 pound DB on their foot after a set of shrugs and say "oops, sorry about that little fella".
Tweettampons? ewwwwhhhh
Tweetlol t-man i hear loud and clear about the females.. wtf is up with this? when we opened i was like now if i can just keep the mens locker room in good condition etc be fine ..boy was i wrong about that! lol
If bigger is better then im better than ever !
Tweetyou already got my input on the other board, but what about offering guess pass for members so they can bring in friends or guest that they have. like one guest per month for free anything after that a fee. I always hate having a friend visit and they have to pay 10bucks a pop. It would be a great gesture
TweetThe best promo I ever used was a mail out to my existing members expalining if they brought a guest who joined up during say March, they would get 3 free months for every guest that joined. I think the best we ever did was like 90 new members from one of those promotions. Now, yes, you will give away a lot of free time but it goes on the end of their memberships so it hits at different times for everyone. And the next month your draft is over 3,000 higher. Some people will pay in full. That's an increas of over 30k in a year from one promo. Yea, I got sick bonuses that month.
