Bad idea before 1st day of work

TweetWell I finally got a job doing hard labor. Start at $20 an hour which I think is great. To celebrate me and my boys went to a concert last night. I was just going to go for a while and then come home and get a good nights rest. Well our buddy was bartending up there and decided to give me free drinks all night. Bad idea. Shots and tons of beer. Well everyone was like lets go to croms new apartment. That was bad too. Had people over till like 4 then a few guys and me went to whataburger to get some food. Well this girl calls that I met the other night and is in town. She comes over. Next thing I know she passes out and Im hooking up with her friend. Her friend was so much hotter and I just couldnt pass it up. I go to bed at about 7. Tossed and turned b/c the other chic got in bed with me and kept cuddling me. Ugh. Anyhow so now I have the worst hangover ever, got maybe 3 hours of sleep and have to go work in the oil fields from 2-10 on my 1st day. The night was a blast, just wish I had more sleep.

You don't want to think back on it in 10 years and tell you buddies...well I had these hot chicks over and I decided to get some sleep instead...

I used to work two jobs, one from noon till 10:pm and then another from 10:xx (whatever time it took to drive there) till 5 or 6 am.
Then it was on to sleep on a couch somewhere until it was time to do it again.
The good part was when one of the jobs had a day off!!!
If I didn't work the night shift, it was to the bars after work and there was no getting tired.
If I had the day off, then after the night job it was time to start early.
If I could schedule both jobs off the same time it was a real party.
With you getting 4 days in a row well, thats vacation!

Heck with a four day weekend you can get from Chicago to Juarez, Mexico and back again with a couple of good nights for parties!

You're only young once and dammit you're going to need some stories to tell when you're older!
Just be safe and careful while you live life to it's fullest.

TweetThanks for the repsonses and props above. Now I know why they call it hard labor. Im actually on 4 days at 2om-10pm then 4 days from 10pm-6am then 4 days from 6am-2pm with a 24 hours break in the middle of each then I get 3 whole days off. The guys are really cool out there and Im not going to have to go to the gym much anymore from all the shiat I have to push, pull and pick up. With overtime, the guys out there say they make about 65k a year.
