TweetI had a sleep apnea/sleep observation study done a few years ago -- it was a miserable night lol. They ruled out sleep apnea, but I also slept on my back the entire time and slightly propped up by the pillow -- which I never actually sleep like, so it didn't seem all that valid to me.
They hook you up to a ton of electrodes, including some on your head (which if you have hair isn't fun to have them part it and use this glue type substance to keep them in all over the place) and then tell you if you roll over, they'll wake you up and make you get back onto your back. It's just a mess.
But no, no CPAP for me. I know several people who do, though.
Tweethe did have one before but they only got an hour out of him and they sent him home. He really needs to go there and start the test at about 3am and then they will get more hours of sleep. I hope this one is a success

TweetI found out that the place I did mine actually had tiers of when they had people scheduled to arrive. Some arrived at 10 and stayed until 8 or something like that and some arrived at 8 and stayed until 6. Whatever it was, they had me come in earlier than I'd ever go to bed and then woke me up and booted me a couple hours before I'd normally wake up. Again, just more evidence that nothing that was done was reflective of my actual sleep cycle/schedule.
I'll say a prayer whenever he goes in that it goes well, though, because it sucks to go in in general, let alone if it's wasted.
TweetI got the c-pak machine so I would keep at it and it will help fuzo. I got panic attacks from the machine, but I still use it. I personally took mine back because it did nothing for me fuzo.
