Tweet5 Time Tour de France winner. The dude is an outstanding athlete. And, it's cool to have a fellow American in the upper echelon of the sport.

TweetHe blood dopes, Im not impressed.
TweetHow can you not be impressed with anyone who wins the tour de france 5 years in a row? I don't know whether or not he blood dopes, and I doubt anyone else does either. But, even if he does, I'll bet money that the other riders do too. Thus, an even playing field my friend.Originally posted by YellowJacket

It's the equivalent of saying that you're not impressed with any of Victor Martinez's wins b/c he uses steroids. So does everyone else in his class!
Either way, the tour de france, or any cycling tour for that matter, is well out of most of our leagues when it comes to athletics.

TweetI don't know what blood doping is, either, But Lance definitely gets major props from me.
He is the most tested (for chemicals) athlete in any sport right now. Not only that, but only one other person has EVER one the Tour de France 5 times consecutively and Lance is going for #6! He is not only a talented rider, but he is a gentleman on his bike. When his leading competitor, Jan Ullrich, crashed, Lance waited for him to join the pack before continuing the race. There is nothing like a respectful athlete!
TweetAnd just to thing that Lance suffered from cancer a few years ago. All I can say is that man is amazing!!
RIP Gearedup and Marc. I'll see you at the crossroads someday guys

TweetHe defenitely does not blood dope, or has found a way to get by the test. Reports from the us postal team manager was that Lance has been tested 4 times DURING the tour. He does not blood dope.

Its much different however when is common knowledge that everyone in the sports juices. To compare bodybuilding to cycling was a horrbile comparison. Training, nutrition, work ethic, etc. are all different.

TweetSure, Coleman, Cutler, et al. all pass steroid tests for the Olympia too, going to tell me they dont use steroids? LA was caught doing it in the past, no doubt in my mind he still does it.Originally posted by Tinfish
