New bill proposed would give the feds the power to take over the civilian internet networks' security in the event of a crisis.

Once again, they are taking away our liberties one step at a time, and this time it is an Independent and a Republican. Hopefully it never passes but in the current state of politics I am betting it will. If so, hopefully we don't have what Obama would consider a cyber crisis. This is another example of how the ruling elite scare us into giving up our freedoms, the same as they did with the Patriot Act.

A few quotes to think about:

Ayn Rand - "Each measure is passed without great trouble or violent public opposition because the average man does not see at the time, how it can possibly affect his own existence - the only thing he is really interested in. Then, one day, he awakens suddenly to realize all his rights and liberties are gone."

Ayn Rand - "We are fast approaching the stage of the ultimate inversion: the stage where the government is free to do anything it pleases, while the citizens may act only by permission; which is the stage of the darkest periods of human history, the stage of rule by brute force."

George Washington - "If the freedom of speech is taken away then dumb and silent we may be led, like sheep to the slaughter."
