PT-141 (Bremelanotide) is a hormone which targets the brain's arousal centres and doesn't just increase blood flow to the genitals as products such as Viagra and Cialis do.

PT-141 Side Effects

Despite promising results and excellent safety profile, the PT-141 Nasal Spray formulation was denied regulatory approval by the FDA due to concerns about rises in blood pressure. However, since these concerns aren't apparent with the injectable PT-141, as the product takes longer to reach peak levels in the body, this may be available on the market as a prescription drug in the coming years.
