If there was a way to go back and change something in your past, One.. would you do it? Two what would it be?

There are multiple things I would like to remove or do differently, but the first one would have to be...To do better in school instead of treating it like a joke.

I'd change one thing. In 1999, my first wife started to notice symptoms of lethargy, pain and just not feeling well. We both discounted this as her just being tired, working way too much, not eating properly etc. We often talked about her going to the doctor, but we just talked. In January 2000 she passed away from terminal cancer. Her doctors said that if caught in time, it may have been treatable but had progressed too much for treatment.

I'd change the fact that we just didn't heed the warning signs, I'd insist on her seeing the doctor.

      That's what I'd change.

Kinda wish I didn't start this thread now...I lost a few to many to cancer and I'm sorry for your pain. Didn't mean to open old wounds. I should have thought better of this meaningless post. Guess I didn't see the big picture. Thank you for sharing that hard portion of your life brutha...much respect

This is a good thread bro. It is good to have these kinds of discussions. Man, my heart goes out to Anabolic over what he went thru

Hmmm what would I change? Several things, for one, I might have avoided doing things that gave me concussions.

God never gives us more then we can handle. When my wife was in the hospital I was in the waiting room and a kind, young nurse asked me if I needed anything, coffee or a coke. She was so kind.

In 2005 I tore my rotator cuff and had surgery. That same nurse was my surgical nurse and remembered me as I did her. She held my hand and said I'd be ok.

We met at the gym months later and after a no from her to me asking her for coffee, we went to dinner. We've been together ever since, married 15 months and have a beautiful 9 month old daughter.

I lost my first love, think of her everyday. But losing her gave me a better perspective and made me a better person. I also met the love of my life through this. God blessed me with 2 great women in my life. It all works out.

Thanks for posting this thread, needed a reminder of how lucky I am.
