TweetAntonio Rodrigo Nogueira is interested in a rematch with Frank Mir.

According to MMAjunkie.com, Nogueira's manager Ed Soares stated "Big Nog" is looking to return to the Octagon in August for the UFC's return to Brazil, possibly against Mir.

"That would be an interesting fight," Soares stated.

A rematch was originally scheduled for UFC 119, but Nogueira was forced to pull out of the fight, due to requiring surgery on his hips.

"There's no doubt that 'Big Nog' has been in a lot of battles," Soares said. "People have said he'd like the Rocky Balboa of MMA. I never understood why Timex didn't want to sponsor him; he takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

"But I can tell you that [Nogueira] still feels good. He still feels like he's got some great fights in front of him. His big goal is to try to be able to fight on that Brazil card. He's going in for his second hip surgery, I believe, in a couple weeks. He's already had his knee and his other hip done. But the recovery is coming along well. He's doing a lot of physical therapy. I believe we'll see 'Nog' come back."

Though Nogueira has been out of action for nearly one year, Soares believes "Big Nog"'s drawing power is still as strong as ever.

"'Nog' is a huge superstar out there, and I think that he'd be able to pack a stadium," Soares explained.

Hopefully, the extended tie away out of the cage allows Nogueira to have a career resurgence.

"You'll definitely see 'Big Nog' back and winning fights again," Soares added.

Nogueira last competed in February 2010, where he lost via knockout to Cain Velasquez at UFC 110: Nogueira vs. Velasquez.

Agreed. He made Mir look like a great striker...and I think that actually got in Mir's head and hurt him a bit.
