TweetOff those criteria...Rugby!
Tweetdo you feel produces the best athletes? By best althletes I mean the best well rounded ie. endurance, strength, skill, speed, etc.......
TweetOff those criteria...Rugby!
TweetCERTAIN baseball players...lol Not all of them. Just like I was going to say football but not all positions cover those criteria...
TweetMMA AND OR SOCCER...
TweetIve trained mma and played (club) Rugby when I went to ISU. Id have to say that Rugby is the hardest sport you could play...Are there better athletes in MMA? Probably, but the whole Rugby team is in shape and strong, not just some of them...But both earn my respect.
Tweetfootball

I LOVE BOOBOOKITTY...
Tweetsoccer, I dont think other sports could compare to the overall health that a soccer player must have to play.
TweetMMA, hands down. I bet most MMA fighters could run with most soccer player but the soccer player would not have the stamina to do what the MMA fighter does. Stamina and endurance are two different things and MMA fighters have both, soccer players have predominantly endurance. And soccer players certianly don't have the strength of MMA fighters pound for pound.
TweetI agree soccer is a VERY athletic sport. I know most dont know much about rugby, but its soccer like while knocking the phoock out of one another...Its non stop like soccer and grueling... Sorry I just have a passion for it and I have played all sports..and nothing beats you up like that, and takes everything you have...speed, endurance, strength, and balls. Second would be mma hands down.
TweetLet me add this, throughout my life I have played soccer, baseball, football wrestling and ran track. And hands down, wrestling was the toughest IMO. Soccer, you just needed endurance and skill. Baseball was a joke. Football was tough but in a game it's basically a bunch of 20 second bursts, which isn't that bad, and you need skill and strength. Track was not too bad, it was just a lot of sprinting to improve your times. But, wrestling was the toughest. Not only did you need skills, you needed strength, stamina and endurance. IMO, it's tougher to go full speed for 3 minutes straight for 3 periods than it is to jog/run/jog/run. At least, that's my opinion. I have no Rugby expereince but I would assume that for sure is tougher than soccer because you have the same endurance demands with the much more need of strength and stamina.
TweetPretty much my take too. Watchin Tito train the way he does, (I know not all of em do it like Tito), I can't imagine someone in any other sport matchin his level of athletisism.
TweetI would say any of the fighting sports: mma, muy tai, boxing. Football and rugby would get my overall for professional sports, even though depending on the position it might not be the best. Shear endurance, soccer and mma.
Tweetbasketball handsdown..you need everything that defines athleticism and skill
