TweetI'll try to write more later, but yes start with cardio and light weight/high reps, but not becasue this is the key to weight loss, do this because it is a good way to build endurance and re-condition your body without exposing you to injury.
I suggest that you begin with a linear periodization method

The link will take you to an article outlining liner periodization, it will finish by telling you that this an outdated methodolgy, however I belive it is a good way to start.
I also suggest that you follow the routine outline in the book "Body for Life" I find that it is a great way to get back into shape. You will out grow the routine, but that is okay, it will be time to move on to a new stage anyways
