TweetYes, this isnt the first time he has done stuff like that either, he is just another form of a relgious extremist if you ask me.....all religious extremists are a hazard to the rest of mankind.

TweetI was watching a "highlight" reel of all his ridiculous statements over the last 20-25 years and it was hilarious to me but also very ridiculous.

Yeah I bet when you get to heavens gate the lord asks "did you assasinate or start any wars with anyone in the name of the Lord?" Of course these morons would answer emphatically "Yes, but we never watched porn, we boycotted any nudity, were against abortion, and did not support stem cell research." And then the lord would answer "Oh ok come right in!".........NOT!
These people are so stupid! Though shall not kill means THOUGH SHALL NOT KILL! It doesn't mean you have the right to murder someone because they support different beliefs than you. If god was so against nudity then how come adam and eve were naked? If we were meant to be clothed and nudity was so wrong, why aren't we born with clothes already on?
That right there is why this world is screwed. More people have died in the name of the lord than any other thing or purpose in history. I honestly doubt that's what the lord wants.
Gotta love these die hard christians!

Although the Bible says "thou shall not kill" it clearly says in Genisis "if the blood of man be shed by man, then so shall his blood be shed by man". Basically, the death penalty. Now, it doesn't say to assassinate. There should be a trial.
Religious extremists of any kind are bad in my opinion. They distort the truth of their religion to fulfill their needs. Acting out of obedience is one thing, but most extremists are hypocrites of their religions. Even many Christians have this self-righteousness about them. That's being arrogant and boastful and that's sin. So, they are no better than anyone else.
Tweetmy sentiments exactly! I was brought up as a christian. But now I only read the bible and pray. I don't believe in churches or any of that shit.Originally Posted by mtnmedic

TweetYea i too was brought up in a christian household but it was mainly my mother my dad wasnt big into church but had faith/religion.......i honestly do not see why i need to go and put on a show to prove to god i believe, he knows i believe and i speak to him in my own privacy......some of the smaller churches are ok but these big ridiculous money making churches make me want to puke, around here there is one in particular that it is nothing more then a status symbol.....there is a special place in hell for people who profiteer off others with the use of the lords name.

TweetYou are right, God is found in us. But the Bible does say that God wants us to fellowship. As a matter of fact he insists we do it. He clearly says, "whenever two or more of you come together in praise and worship, I will be there". As long as you have some kind of fellowship you will grow better spiritually. There is someone to hold you accountable and someone for you to learn from and teach to. The fellowship is important for spiritual growth, not salvation, but for growth.Originally Posted by DJDIGGLER
TweetYup, I couldn't agree more. Every big chuch I've been to is more like a "well, this is what you do on Sunday" crowd. Not everyone, but many of them. The small church we go to now is amazing. You can see the genuiness of the members. The things this church does for the community is just amazing. My preacher drives a beat up old car and I respect the heck out of him for that. He could petition teh elders to give him a raise, but he doesn't. He just lives his modest life and does what God expects of him.Originally Posted by Equalizer
I've know of churches where the preachers have 1.4 million dollar houses. And I'm not talking about California, I'm talking about Gainesville, GA with a population of 30,000. Most of which are blue collar people barely making it. It makes me sick. But, God will have his day with these people. People who should have giving to the low income kids of the community but instead bought $60,000 cars and million dollar houses. Why would God want a preacher to drive a $60,000 car while some family can't afford to buy their kids school supplies? Families who are members of his church even.
TweetHonestly bro it depends on the church. Like Eq metioned alot of people go to church as a status symbol. I see alot of people that are there for the wrong reasons. That's not what god wants. He wants a fellowship of true believers. Most churches are very evil. They form their own opinions and interpretations of the bible and try to brainwash society to believe that their interpretations are actually fact. When in all reality alot of things are taken way out of context by the church. It's just like how the Vatican won't let anyone know what the dead sea scrolls really says. Why probably because it says a church is unnecessary, and that would definetely take away alot of patronage from them. There is alot of politics in religon and I see it as a bunch of crap. There is no place for politics in religon, just like there is no place for religon in politics.
I feel the only true churches are the non denominational ones that strictly stick to the bibles teachings and thats it. But still even then the bible isn't to be taken as 100% people often forget that alot of these things are just stories from other people, heresay, and alot of possible misinterpretations since alot of stuff was transferred from unknown languages. Don't get me wrong I think the bible is a very powerful thing, I've had my own freak experiences with the bible. But I think that people need to be open minded when reading the bible.
Tweetbro thats exactly what im talking about, the smaller churches are an asset but every church being built now is like ENORMOUS bigger then like superwalmarts, thats ridiculous, you cant possibly have a personal relationship with your pastor, not like a small church.Originally Posted by T-Man007
Bro I live in WV as you know and there are at least 2 churches that stick out in mind that the pastors are living in some of the most expensive homes around driving mercedes, convertible sports cars, lexus, driving harleys and their kids are complete fucking shit heads, fake as can be, i went to school with them. Those churches are circuses full of alot hypocrits. There are alot of very religous people around here and they feed off them if ask me, im not saying they shouldnt make a living but come on something just seems a bit fishy to me.....always asking for more money for their new "project".
