TweetNever had to use it so not sure which is best..lol. I have hydra shock in my .380 and Federal hollow points in my .45 USP.

I do not condone the use of, nor do I use anabolic or androgenic steroids. My participation on these boards is for informational purposes only. I have done extensive research of AAS and enjoy discussing them for role playing enjoyment.
TweetHydra-shok, or anything else Federal makes...
Tweeti just use regular ball ammo in the .380 and hydra shocks in the 9mm and PDX1 ammo for the shotgun under the bed (PDX1 is a 1oz slug with 3 DO buck pellets.)
i started using ball ammo for the .380 as I read ballistics tests in gun mags that said they can expend their energy and stop before they hit anything vital in situations such as the target is wearing a heavy leather jacket. it would hurt like hell but if i am shooting a human my life depends on it and i want them dead.)
TweetThat is exactly my theory when it comes to the small calibers. (the whole penetration/expansion issue with FMJ vs JHP) It could easily be tested and proven. There is a thread or 2 with that being my concern. I eliminated that concern with my carry piece anymore.
I like Hornady Critical Defense and Gold Dots.
Whatever works best in your gun is always good too.
That's another reason for my absolute need for a no-nonsense, non-ammo discriminatory CC piece.
TweetHydra-shocks. Best stopping power and really important for your smaller caliber weapons.

TweetYou shouldn't have any problems with your Glock. My reliable piece is my H&K. That thing has never failed me no matter what type of ammo I run though it.

TweetThat's what I hear. It's done well so far. I think Hydra-Shoks are the feed-test because of the sharp edge from jacketing to cup.
Are Hydra Shoks bonded?
Gold Dots have a bonded jacket, hence their reliable expansion.
TweetWinchester ranger RA45T. +p in the cold months. 00 buckshot's military grade in my shotty by the bed.
TweetI have some of those OD green 00s. They throw the clear plastic packing thing, (looks kinda like a badmitten birdy), but those shells will bounce that plastic piece off the target plywood from 80ft. I have stuck a couple into the plywood. I couldn't even remove it. The wood was already compromised slightly. (already had a couple bullet holes there, or near, so it was weak, but still...Those shells are packet hot!
Tweetthat birdy is called a wad lol. it is what holds the shot together while going down the barrell.
They call you paranoid until the worst happens, and in the aftermath they will call you a hero.
Tweetexactly. I drew a blank.
I was making little comments on how hard they blow their wad.lol...when we were shooting them.
