Tweetawesome...I sold my AR-15 ...kinda wish I still had it
TweetI received my left handed Stag Arms model 2L a few weeks ago and finally got around to shooting it. All I can say is wow! The gun shoots so beautifully smooth and accurate. I shot 150 rounds through it with 2 failure to feeds but I'm not sure if it was the gun or the magazine or ammo that caused it. I shot groups of 3 inches in the sitting position at 25 yards iron sights, and 5 inches standing up. I'll improve but I was happy for my first time shooting it.
I'm ordering a quad rail and holographic red dot sight. Does anyone have a red dot? If so, any suggestions on models or brands?

TweetNice! I bet that thing is a sweety!
2 FTFs huh...Well, it's not an AK.hehe...just funnin man. That Stag is a honey, for sure! Brand new rifle. It might've just been a little breaking-in is all. But, you know that semi-autos jam. That's just part of owning automatics. Most of them will jam now and then. Come to think of it. Rifles seem to jam more than handguns. It's more accepted for a rifle to jam than a handgun, for some reason. Ya ever thought about that? And the race for the jam-free sidearm has been on since the beginning of autoloading handguns.
There's only 1 proven rifle design.
I'm glad to hear you got that thing in action. And very glad to hear you're happy with it! I know you had a couple concerns.
Tweetoh. Aimpoint makes a great scope. A nice 1x30 red-dot would be nice on that thing.
TweetI'll check it out. I am also trying to decide what type of rail to buy for it to replace the hand guard. I'm thinking of a quad rail 7" car but debating whether to go with a longer length for future accessories. However, I just saw a picture of my gun in the tactical model 2T instead of model 2L which I have. The one in this picture is owned by a law enforcement agency and they changed and added a few things. They have the 7 inch quad rail that comes standard on the 2T version and have incorporated a light, so that answers my question as to whether I will have room for it. But I don't know if you could fit a bipod on there and I do want one of those. It doesn't look like you could unless I put it where the handle is on that one.

TweetThose Aimpoints are sweet. They know it too. You can tell by the price tag.
A Center-Point from WalMart for $69 does a fine job as well. 1x32 red/green dot. adjustable brightness. 2-MOA, if I remember correctly. All that for under $70...somethin to think about. If I can purchase another gun foor the cost of a scope. I'm going with the gun at this point. Maybe I'll throw down for a nice AimPoint or Carl Zeis one day.
TweetTrijicon acog. I've bet my life on it.
