My Experience at Bestbuy

TweetI swear, Im never buying anything there again. I bought an mp3 player there about 3 weeks ago. The chick at the time said "You have 30 days and if you dont like it, you can just return it"...Ok, so since I finally figured out my iPod, i take the mp3 back today...the guy at the counter had a manager badge...He pulls out the mp3 player and starts inspecting it.."Who put all these scratches on it?"...I immediately start getting pissed "What are you talking about? That thing was never used!" He looks down at the register and says"Im going to have to give you store credit because you are outside of the 14 day period"..I almost jumped over the counter! I said "What??? The girl that sold me that told me I HAD 30 DAYS TO RETURN IT!!!"...Without saying a word he hands me a receipt and said, "Here, I credited it back to your mastercard"..The guy was RUDE RUDE RUDE..but at least I got it returned..sheesh...Think twice before going to Bestbuy!!! I bought a laptop there once and took it in because I had a question..in order to answer my question, I had to pay a fee to the GEEK SQUAD for the guy to go on the computer I had just purchased a week before and show me something...WTF?

TweetI actually like Best Buy. I had to take back 4 computers before keeping the 5th in about a 3 day period. Every time they were helpful and didn't give me any trouble whatsoever. But I did buy a router a while back and the girl asked me if I wanted to buy the 2 year warranty for $15 (approximately), which I said yes due to the amount of routers I have had stop working. Well, she's ringing it up and said it wouldn't take the warranty, so instead of figuring out why, even after telling me that Best Buy warranties all routers and this was obviously a computer problem, she told me I couldn't get the warranty. I still bought it and of course it went bad about 2 weeks later so I returned it for another one and bought the warranty. But electronics at Best Buy are 14 days across the board, so just keep that in mind and ignore the idiots behind the counter.

Tweet^it depends on the person you're dealing with. This guy was THE manager and had a shitty personality and crappy people skills. VERY RUDE. He was obviously not happy. On the back of the receipt it says 30 days except for computers, camcorders, Tvs, which are 14 days...Maybe I should contact corporate and tell them about this guys crappy attitude and that he is giving bestbuy a bad name...I wont, but probably should
