AAS and Prescription medication

TweetHey bros. I am about to be back in school and I was wondering if taking presciption medicine will mess anything up in my cycle?? I am ADHD and take Adderall and I am not too sure it taking it will effect my cycle in anyway. Please let me know. Thanks for your time.

TweetI know that Adderall is an appetite suppressant and it will make me not as hungry but I have always ate a ton while I take just because I know I might lose weight. I need the medicine to concentrate, but if mixing it with AAS is going to kill me or anything then I won't take it. Thats what I really want to know.

Tweetget big, ive found out a couple of ways to take the medicine while still being on a cycle. Fortunately my g/f is a nurse so ive got access to all her medication manuals and pharmocology guides. Im not sure what doses you take or if it is the time realesed but in general as im sure you know it will increase your heart rate and cause some respitory stimulation as well as raise bp like prolangtum said. Andregenergic effects of adderall are increased if you are taking any thyroid preperations (im assuming you are not). The amount of the adderall that is metabolized by your liver is strictly dependant on the alkalinity of your urine, which basically means that if you are on any orals you obviously need to be more careful with what you drink and eat. The more acidic the food you eat and liquids you drink (ex.cranberry juice, oranges, etc.) these foods and drinks will prolong the effects of the adderall, and extend its halflife. I know this is long winded but simply put if you are taking orals along with adderall drink tons of water to help your liver stay flushed out. Other than that i dont think you have anything to worry about, but im not a doc. so if you have any further questions id ask a professional.

Tweetyea. one thing to increase the effectiveness of adderall is by taking a couple of rolaids then swallowing the adderall. Makes it last longer and stronger. Not help to the intial question but a side note. No it wont kill you, but be careful.

Tweeti know this isnt the same thing but ive seen people who take meds for depression get alot worse while on aas, so its something to look out for when taking any pres meds and aas together

TweetI have cycled plenty of times while on adderall and dexedrine. Both drugs I tried IR an XR or ER. Dexedrine is a much cleaner drug. I have tried insane doses (190 mgs one night, lucky i didnt die) If anything, it will throw you into a slightly more catabolic state than normal, so I would just make sure to increase cals at least 500, mostly protein and fat. Also drink a whey/simple carb shake pre/during workout, and post workout, as those are times when it is most crucial to stave of catabolism. Also look into NO products, as they lower blood pressure which can be a problem while on addy, as mentioned before. Gains are harder to come by when on adderall, but can be made if you minimize stress, and keep yourself as anabolic as possible, not only with drugs, but food and nutrient timing. Also, I would advise you to supplement ALCAR to prevent neuro damage, and also supplement l-tryosine to help restore depleted dopamine. Something along the lines of 1g of ALCAR daily, and 2g of l-tyrosine 3 x per day. This will also make your adderall more effective as it taps out your dopamine very quickly.

Tweetsorry to hijack the thread but do u guys know if there will be potential problems with a person taking, Bupropion and risperdal and wanting to do a cycle.

TweetI did a quick google search as I was unfamiliar with risperdal, but it seems there should be no bad interactions. Wellbutrin is fairly benign as far as sides. It is one of my favorite anti depressants I have used. Risperdal can lower BP, so any AAS causing hypertension will probaly not be as much problem during you cycle.

TweetNever had a problem with adderall or lexapro affecting me on cycle. Test makes me happier. I have not heard of a single case where the blame was laid on anti depressants and gear. Narcotics, yes, but usually there is a deeper underlying problem than gear, they would have done somehting stupid with or without the gear. If you have insurance, I would not tell my doc about AAS usage, unless you want to be dropped possibly.
