I don't know if you all read my reply on the sad post about Gearedup or not, but I want to go into it some more. Please realize that oxycontin and all the other screwed up drugs out there will kill you sooner or later. I have had 4 friends die from drug overdoses...1 from injecting oxyciontin, 1 cocaine (most likely injecting it), 1 from heroin, and 1 from morphine. I hope that whoever is using these drugs will read this and wake up and stop. This cause of death is so easily preventable if a person is willing to get strong and fix it before it's too late. It is a serious addiction and can take some time and strength to get over, but it can be done. The most important thing is realizing you have a problem...and imo, if you take any of these at all you have a problem (unless the doctor prescribes it to you for a medical condition). And for those out there that have not done these drugs, please stop and ask yourself if that's really what you want to do. People start out by taking painkillers orally or snorting them and say they will never go beyond that. But then, after a while, they end up shooting them til there so strung out that the drug is a way of life for them. Then, when the addiction fully sets in, you can't even function properly without taking drugs when you get out of bed. I might be rambling in circles here but I'm in a hurry and did not sit down and prepare this in anyway...I'm just tired of seeing people I care about or anyone for that matter die from drugs. I carried my best friends casket and watched him be burried because of this bullshit. It's just not worth it. Gearedup was a hell of a guy, and I'm sure he was lookingt healthy again too...but it seems he slipped like so many do. It's very sad to see a good brother go down like this. I spoke to GU on several occasions via email and pm, he was a hell of a guy and will be missed by many. I really wish I could pay my respect to him and go to his funeral.
