TweetWonder what a psych exam would have said about David Lynch, Tarentino or Rodriguez? Stupid idea.
TweetI saw someone in the media had suggested this somewhere. It depends upon how this is done, but I think this sounds like a good idea on the surface. You certainly can eliminate the wackos - or at least identify them and get them help. But another interesting point is the notion of "psychological discrimination."
OK, go ahead and laugh . . . finished? Remember, this is America, so the notion of psychological profiling and discrimination would be a real issue at publically funded universities - and private universities would not be far behind the first law suit. It is kind of sad that this would inevitably become so complicated, but that is the world we live in. Everyone is entitled to everything, and denying anything based upon an identifiable attribute or condition quickly is flagged as a violation of civil rights.
Who knows, maybe after the first law suit, admitting crazies will be the next trend in college admissions. The current trend is gay/bisexual/transgender students - maybe the Ivy League can even further diversify the student body by admitting schizophrenic and manic depressive students . . . I know, I am digressing.
What do you all think about this? Is it more important to prevent the next tragedy, or to maintain the absurd all-encompassing framework of civil rights?

TweetDumb idea... 1 kid out of a couple million college kids went off in the deepend. I know people want to figure out answers but there really isnt in freak things like this. My high school that i work at had a school shooting back in dec and same ****. people had a buncha dumb ideas to try and make the school safer but the fact is you cant stop it
Tweet^....dumb idea. You can't stop jack. And if the psycho gets rejected because he failed the exam don't you think there will be some retaliation? There shootings are not everyday occurrences so there is no way to predict when they will happen or how to stop it.
