  • READ THIS: I'm tired of hearing bullshit about teens with high testosterone!

I'm f'ing sick of hearing advice that teens shouldn't use testosterone because their natural test is sky high. Come up with a better reason. Yet another example of how someone makes a comment and through simple repetition it becomes "fact" among steroid users. Scroll down and check out the graph:

    http://www.uspharmacist.com/index.as...age=8_1127.htm

According to the graph, anywhere between 19 and 25 would probably be the worst years to use based on the "sky high" testosterone arguement.

Sorry about the frustration I get very annoyed when I hear people repeat things that I know aren't true but I don't happen to have a good source to show them. This one just sort of fell into my lap so I figured I would post it.

I think your missing the point bro.....no one is saying DONT DO TEST! Whatever you do with the info we give is up to you. I dont believe teens (under 21) should use juice. I know your post isn't directed towards me......but I'm a strong believer in reaching your potential without steroids! Go ahead and do a cycle when your 18.....you'll be sorry.

Look, I'm 21. I first used juice when I was 18. It hasn't stunted my growth. I have blood work done every 6 months. No problems. I don't know what other side effects people refer to. Most people use the high endo test arguement, but not all. I just wanted to squash that one.

Here's the thing though. I had been training hardcore with proper diet for 4 years (since I was 14) before I started juicing. I'm just curious what side effects everyone is referring to when it comes to teens juicing? We've already talked about the stunted growth (which can be avoided with antiestrogens), but what other side effects are present in teens that aren't in people who are in their 20's? Seriously, everyone is so vague with "it will mess you up." How?

your body isnt fully developed at 18.....or even 19 for some. My point was.....get yourself there naturally first. I'm sure theres side effects from juicing at a young age. I'm no doctor, but when your body is thrust into a state of growth, like AS does. then your naturally occuring GH's, tests, and receptors get all fuked up. I would never prescribe AS or anything to a person who just wants to gain size at that age. There are people who need test levels raised, but thats for a doctor to delagate. Not someone who talks on these boards.

Anotheruser, do you regret using steroids at a young age? or are you happy you started young?

I'm actually quite happy. Because of my early use I feel I have built quite a temple. It has allowed me to accomplish a personal goal which may have taken an additional 5 or 6 years otherwise.

The reason I encourage eaglewrestler is because he seems to be in my shoes in the past. I spent a year doing research and hanging out on boards before I made any decisions. My training and diet had been in order for years before I started. I just seemed to hover around a certain musculature, with any weight that was gained would be mostly fat.

I have personal reasons (my philosophy on how I want to live my life) that make me glad I started at 18. It may be different for other people. I just don't believe it's as bad as people make it out to be in the upper teens.

And BTW, I started getting acne in 5th grade so I feel I hit puberty and matured earlier than most people as well, so my physical 18 may have been someone else's 21.

haha, let me finish cutting first I'm 5'10'', 210 lbs. at a reasonable bf%. Remember though, I don't clame to be huge or anything like that, but I feel like I am more than "big enough" (oh my god, someone who's happy with their size! ). I'll get some picks up moderately soon. May be a few more weeks though.

Steroids for me aren't tools to get huge, they're tools to achieve MY goals more quickly.

And BTW, steroids have sparked a profound interest in pharmacy and medicine which has really made me push myself in college. It has provided "direction" so to speak. I'm taking the PCAT (pharmacy standardized test) and MCAT (medical school standardized test) this year and applying to pharmacy and med schools in the fall.

Well Anotheruser....since you turned out so great...I guess we can all start telling teenagers to use juice.

                      Or not.

Just because one person experienced something...doesn't mean another will experience the same thing.

The point is this. You are still in your developing stages during your teenage years. Messing with you hormones...and shutting your test production OFF at that age (by using steroids) CAN...(please notice I said "CAN") cause a problem with test production for the rest of your life. It's not likely...but it CAN happen in some teens..depending on the person (we all mature at different rates)..and depending on the amount and frequency of the steroid use. I've come across two people that have experienced this. They juiced in high school and now have low test levels years after because of it. It doesn't happen to all teens...it doesn't happen to most...but my point is....I wouldn't want to take that risk and I refuse to advise anyone else to do so.
We're all happy you turned out well....we really are. But I don't want teens to get the wrong idea just because you're singing the praises of your steroid use in highschool.

Please understand I mean this as no flame.. I just really want to get this point across.

                            Just curious:

I'm not sure about some of your points made, or that weren't made.......why exactly is this such a bullshit reason?
I mean afterall, the levels ARE higher at those general ages.

And also, why are you so sure that you didn't stunt your growth? How would anybody know for sure if they did or didn't? So, why such strong feelings?

I ended up growing to my predicted height. I don't remember how a physician predicts final height, I just know that it was done when I was VERY young.

And yes, test is high in that age range. But if you read the study it only decreases by about 1% per year. There is a negligible difference between the test of a 20 yr. old and the test of a 30 yr. old. There is a difference yes, but it has been WAY overexagerated. I've consistently seen people directly say that teens have as much testosterone as an older steroid user. Now not everyone says this, but the ones who do are sorely wrong. Not to mention it really bothers me that most people arbitrarily pick 21 as the minimum age to start, and say ARE YOU CRAZY to someone who's 18. Hell, 21 is when natural test is highest! I just don't see the HUGE physical difference between 18 and 21.
