TweetThe doctor will just use enough T4 to suppress your own thyroid's production and keep everything at "normal" levels. Definately check on HRT for the test though!
TweetI had blood work done and first thing they found was my test levels were really low, second thing was my thyroid is producing way to much hormone... Since my thyroid is putting out to much would that be why my test levels are so low? Not to mention that he wants to put me on t-4 to lower my thyroid, i always thought that it would raise my thyroid. Anyone know?

Tweetsounds like you just got off cycle, correct?
I eat at least 6 times a day to build my body
I pray at least 6 times a day to build my soul
TweetI myself believe in longer than 2 weeks clomid use, although I have no blood work results to prove that. I did 4 weeks with the last 2 being 50mg ED.

No you are thinking of T3 to raise your thyroid i guess T4 does the opposite.![]()
TweetYep, that sounds right mate. The doctor will just use enough T4 to suppress your own thyroid's production and keep everything at "normal" levels.
Could be a period of too much, or too little, T3 in your system though whilst the doc figures out the right levels. So be prepared for a bit of messing around if you're unlucky bro.
TweetIf your body is producing to much Thyroid, the doctors will regulate it with Synthroid (T-4) probably between 100 - 125 mcg. Test is low because, unlike what everyone would like to belive, it can take up to 6-9months after getting off a cycle to get back to even 50-60 % test levels , even if you use clomid and Hcg. Trust me, I have over a decade of bloodwork proving this. Oh, yeh, and I'm also on Synthroid to regulate my thyroid
TweetOver active thyroid is usually treated with 2mcg/kg/day. Thyroid is also controlled by the HTPA. Exengonous T4 will cause a neg feed back to the HTPA and will lower TSH levels which then in turn lower endengonous T3 and T4.
Those with hypothyroidism, 1.6mcg/kg/day is the usual. This is when its already low so adding more will lower the endengonous more, but the exengonous is used as a replacement. This is usually a life time treatment.
