Tweetwhat exactly is your diet?
TweetI'm 2 weeks in on a cycle of only sust 580mg/wk. I've been eating a lot and clean, but my bf is 18-20%. It's been at that level through past cycles and I can't seem to move it. I'm thinking of keeping my protein up but restricting carbs to first meal and (small pre-workout) and post-workout. Anyone think I'd be able to retain the muscle I have and lose someof the fat? 30yo and my weight is 185lbs., been training for six years. also, the past few months I've been doing cardio for 30 mins, heartrate at 150, 3-5 times per week right after training, but before my post-workout shake. Still no change in bf!!!
Tweetwhat exactly is your diet?
Tweettypical day goes something like this, about five meals:
1. dried fruit, and baked turkey burger with egg whites in whole-grain pita, sometimes a protein shake too
2. lean beef or chicken with grilled vegetables
3. chicken breast with brown rice and peppers, onions, tomatoes, sometimes a protein shake too
4. pre-workout, some dried fruit and a turbo tea (about 40g simple carbs)
5. post-workout shake 45g protein, about 90g simple carbs
6. tuna sashimi, maybe some octopus
Tweetwhat are your totals for the day. calories....protein...carbs
Tweetget on a treadmill and set the grade to 15% and set the speed at like 2.5-3.5 and walk for one hour. this will burn a shitload of calories. aslo what are your totals?
TweetHow tall are you?
TweetAgree w/ all above, all the way.....try this as well:
Do the cardio in the AM for 1 hour, like Saucefit suggested. Then you can hit your PW shake w/ some carbs. Try shutting off all carbs (except simple carbs after PM lifting, of course) around early-mid afternoon. Also, remember that you will elevate your natural growth hormone levels if you do not overeat before bedtime, so don't overdo the nightly protein meal. Keep portion sizes down, and NEVER leave the table w/ the "feeling of being full". That can kill you....b/c that means that you were actually "full" several bites ago. Sometimes it can take up to 20 min just to realize that you are "full". Good luck bro....if you need more help, there are a thousand other things we can all throw your way, so hopefully I kept it somewhat simple for you.....peace, Shiner

TweetAlso remember this:
Some people will only burn already existent fat if they actually "use" it as energy. Here's what I mean. If you merely lower your Cals, and don't do enough cardio, then your body is more 'apt' to stay @ homeostasis. However, if you lower your Cals, AND exercise on an empty stomach, then you body is now 'forced' to utilize those pounds of fat as energy. Remember that Calories are actually nothing more than energy. When not needed/used, your body will just store them as fat. Fat is not very compact and contains vitamins and minerals, so you body DOES NOT want to get rid of it. It's like a Savings account for your body. So, if you force your body to perform on it's Savings account, then it will do that. This is why protein is kept up; so muscle is no longer the body's first option for energy...fat is. Good luck, Shiner
