So recently I started taking a mag supp after reading an article that stated almost 70% of Americans are deficient. "Well dammit", i said, "am I deficient?"

So I just bought the stuff of the grocery vitamin counter. I must say I feel better. I am fairly out of shape due to limitations from my SI joint but my cardio has remained high, I feel better too. I take 250mg morn and 250 night.

Hey give it a try, it is super cheap and you may just find yourself busting that plateau or running a 5K 30 seconds faster. I will take it now on.

here are just a few benefits to athletes.

Our results show that supplementation with magnesium increases free and total testosterone values in sedentary and in athletes [4].
Magnesium supplementation positively influences the performance of training athletes by increasing erythrocyte and hemoglobin levels [5].
Adequate magnesium levels are required in order to sustain an appropriate performance level due to its key role in energetic metabolism, in membrane stabilization and in muscle contraction [6].

Great to hear! There are a several different types of magnesium, which do you take? I used to take 500mg before bed as my doc told me it may help relax my muscles. It can cause loose poops for some to. Which one do you take? thanks for sharing your experience

only downside to mag is it can cause gut issues in some people and make them poop like a goose. i keep my dose in the evening or at night away from when i will be away from the house. that's one of the reasons that a lot of people had issues with no xplode. it is chock full of mag

I've been taking it for a couple years now. Even tho I eat pretty healthy I was still deficient in it. I take it and zinc at night it seems to help me sleep better. I do poop a lot after I wake up lol But I thought that was normal.

Mag citrate. it is the most easily absorbed. the reason i split my does is due to the laxative effect. 250 2X ed is no big deal. 500 at once....torpedo in the tube within 20 minutes

Main thing you want is a chelated form of magnesium. I rotate mine. I love mag. glycinate. I get very sedated when I take it. Love that before bed.

It makes me poop like crazy too if I take too much. Anytime I ever used NO Xplode back in the day, I had to make sure there was a clear path to the toilet.
