Senate's Cabinet slow-walk riles Trump, previews Supreme Court battle
TweetArticle II, Section 2 of the Constitution declares that the president “shall nominate, and by with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other Public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the Supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States.” It just doesn’t say anything about how fast the Senate “shall” provide that advice and consent.
