As Alice in the <ahref="http://www.askmen.com/entertainment/movie/resident-evil-afterlife.html">ResidentEvil series, <ahref="http://www.askmen.com/celebs/women/models/28_milla_jovovich.html">Milla Jovovichis a veritable one-woman army. And while this former model has done her fair share ofaction movies over the course of her career, it was the video game movie franchise thatmade both Jovovich and her character iconic -- despite never appearing in the games. Millacan thank husband and B-movie writer/director Paul W.S. Anderson for that, and togetherthey provided a winning formula others have since tried to copy (see: <ahref="http://www.askmen.com/celebs/women/actress_100/117_kate_beckinsale.html">KateBeckinsale and the Underworld movies). But it takes morethan just supermodel good looks and a leather catsuit to make a female action hero, andJovovich has had the staying power to bring the wildly successful franchise to five films(and counting) because she’s more than just another hot girl fighting through theapocalypse in slow motion.
