why you should eat carbs at night (not in the morning)

"You should eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper."

THIS MYTH just won’t die.

Let me break this down.

First of all, when you eat a big meal first thing in the morning, your digestive system is smashed into overdrive.

Believe it or not, the process of waking up is stressful to your nervous system. It takes considerable metabolic energy just to become conscious.

Second of all, what happens to your energy levels when you eat a big, carb-heavy breakfast? You crash, right?

By mid-afternoon, you’re ready for a nap.

Then.. according to popular wisdom, you’re supposed to eat a LIGHT dinner.

Then.. what.. go to bed hungry?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t sleep well when my stomach is rumbling at me and wants food.

No, that’s all backwards.

We flipped this whole idea on it’s head.

We’ve done it for years when working with weight loss clients.

It works amazingly well for weight loss, appetite reduction, and it fits in better with your lifestyle.

If you want lose weight and boost your energy levels, do this:

1. eat a light, low carbohydrate breakfast.
This allows your body to burn through stored food from the day before and keeps your blood sugar even.

2. eat a protein rich, low carbohydrate lunch.
A big salad with meat and dressing works well here. Why low carb again? Because eating carbs in the middle of the day causes a dramatic spike in blood sugar, followed by a sudden drop. That’s when you need a nap.

3. eat a moderate fat, high protein, high carbohydrate dinner.
You won’t store the carbs as fat, because your body hasn’t really had any large sources of carbs throughout the day. And, your body produces a natural relaxation hormone called "serotonin" when you eat carbohydrates. This helps you fall asleep faster. And studies show that eating carbs at night helps curb your appetite the following day.

Sound interesting?
Give it a shot and let us know what you think.
I bet your energy levels will be UP and your appetite will be down.
