Cardio it really works!!!!
I've always been one of those guys that doesn't have to worry much about body fat and I always viewed cardio as something that takes up my time from lifting.
Here lately, I've been working around so many different injuries, I decided to do cardio instead of just taking days off from the gym and it really helped and gave me advantage on lifting. Legs don't really get sore after a heavy leg day and I can workout a lot faster without getting near as fatigued! Who would have thought; it really works. :D

Cardio is considered a catabolic exercise. Now, I’ll be honest, when my friend told me this, I didn’t know what it meant either, but it’s basically just a fancy way of saying that cardio is a process that breaks down both fat and muscle.
Going for a run, hitting the trails for a hike, swimming, or even taking a joy ride on your bike are all considered forms of catabolic exercises. Although these exercises break down fat and sometimes muscle if done too much, they’re important for keeping a healthy heart and set of lungs.
Re: Cardio it really works!!!!
I always force myself to do 30 minutes vigorous cardio the day after heavy-ish lifting. Especially legs. As said, helps flush lactic acid out and I do not get as sore.
Re: Cardio it really works!!!!
Cardio cleans out the cell mitochondria which is basically the liver of the cell...in this instance cardio assists with muscle growth
Re: Cardio it really works!!!!
Older I get the more important I find it to be. I’m on the slow road to cardio recovery meaning I’ve neglected this area way too much!

I'm starting to do same thing I never did any cardio but I just turned 50.
Think it's time to start doing things to improve general health not just build muscle
