Boosting Insulin Levels after workout
Can someone link me to some good articles about the science behind this???...and the best possible way to do this without having to worry about gaining fat. My lifting partner eats jelly bellies after the workout to spike up the insulin levels...i am just confused on the concept and don't wanna screw it up and gain any fat
Thanks for any suggestions,

Don't know about articles off of the top of my head, but the book "Men's Health TNT Diet" is an excellent resource on the science of muscle building associated with carbs and insulin without gaining fat...in fact loosing fat while building muscle.

I'll make the assumption first that you are cutting? IMHO, 50 grams of high glycemic carbs with your whey protein is about the most your body can respond to (natural insulin/non injected). If your a real big boy or bulcking you can make the arguement for up to 75 grams but I haven't seen the need.

Okay bro so 50 or (75g if bulking) is optimal for jumping up the insulin levels post-workout without gaining in the Fat department...thats correct?
Re: Boosting Insulin Levels after workout
if so then i will be taking the dextrose corn sugar at between 50 to 75 grams Post Workout...this should really bump the insulin levels!!! Can't believe i didn't think of this before!!!:surr:

Keep us posted on your progress. If your losing more than 3 pounds a week, calories are too low. 1lb or less, need to cut calories more.
Try this free program if you like Dietpower.com I love it when I'm dieting down. Real easy to use.
