testosterone patch

i saw my doctor last week and my routine blood work came back...one of the concerns was my test level was low....so he prescribed me the patch.its only 5mg every day but i would assume it shoul help my natural production and not shut it down like a cycle does im almost 32 so i hope it would bring it back to a level like if i was 18 again.has anyone else used it or know much about them? im a vet so i dont have to pay for it which is cool cuz it looks like online its like 120-150 for a 30 day supply

Several people that I know have used the androderm patches both 5mg and 10 mg and have complained of hive like rashes at the places that they place the patch. I would not think this would be a problem but just more of a nusiance. Alot of people just opt for the androgel instead. Most of the patches will raise your t-levels to peak within about 8 hours of putting it on. Be sure and check your levels periodically when on the patch too. Perodic checks will also let you see if your body is responding negatively to the t-med by converting it into estradiol which leads to the crash and depressed feeling that some complain about on TRT.

thanks for that info..but i am curious if its enough to see any improvement for my workouts..obviously not like on a cycle, but i never saw any results from typical supplements either like most of my friends have.i still have a few months before ill do another cycle so if this helps in the meantime all the better

Wow low test at 32 ? I got a script (one) was $ 160 a box,..was kinda funny having a patch stuck to your nuts all day. My doc wouldn't give me the injectables at the time so I thought I'd give it a try, I have state insurance. Really got a good taste of the "well being" and drive like I was seventeen or somethin'.

If I had a box of patches in my medicine cabinet...I think I'd look like a quilt by the end of the day.

Don`t want to burst your bubble but the patch isn`t going to do a whole lot for you.

First of all, don`t worry about getting shut down, it takes about 100mg of injected test a week about 4 weeks to shut down the average person.

Next, depending on what type of binding agent your paticluar patch uses your only going to absorb a percentage of the test in the patch. Older patches had 25% absorbsion rates!!!! But were dosed in 40mg patches...

To be honest, you`ll probably feel an increase in libido and a little more agression in the gym, both of which may be more psychological than anything else.

If you`ve got low test, get a copy of your test-test result from your doc and do an on-line HRT application. Not too expencive because it is the test- blood test that is usually the expencive part of the HRT services (about $300) Then you can dial up a nice little cycle for yourself.

To be honest the patch may be a nice way to bridge between cycles but not much more.
