Business Deal..what do you think ??
Well with our current situation, and the war going on..economy going down, gas prices increasing from day to day.. something occurred to my mind..
I was thinking teaming up with my family and selling the house that we have here.. its probably worth about $400.000 .. we would be giving close to 200.000 to the bank and the rest of it is ours so with all that money why not move to some other country where the economy is rising.. some not poor but undeveloped country that is developing.. slowly.. I was targeting somewhere in Europe.. I feel like the country we are in is already "too much developed" and nothing can grow and become better..
maybe open up a restourant... or a night club or something.. idk..
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
the way home prices are rising you would be better off taking out an equity line and investing that here in the US
All and All I think it is a bad idea, especially the Europe part. The stable areas are either developed or under the EU, either way the growth opportunities are slim for an foreigner with no experience
i recommend visiting europe though, it is a cool place
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
I would personally do some very good research first as the EU dollar fluctuates dependant on the economy of the particular country you are thinking of. Btw, 200K does really not go that far nowdays. You would def have to not only be very resourcefull, but very shrewd to be able to invest in another home and actually have enough to put into a restaurant or club. hell even a decent size club will run upwards of 500k and thats not counting capitol for running it.
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
Bad idea bro. A house is the best investment. Others nations suck compaired to the USA.
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
First off, bad idea. Who's economy is better than ours? Who has a lower unemployment level than we do? And, for the record, if you are *****ing about $3/gal gas here you really need to do some homework. England and most of Europe pay over $5/gal. Holland pays over $6.
I just met with my financial guy yesterday and my portfolio is going up very steadily. So, I don't see any economic downfalls. Sure, there are going to be isolated instances but this country as a whole is strong as hell. There are houses in Cali, NV and AZ that are appreciating over 30% a year. That is a clear sign of a strong economy. Homes across the nation are appreciating. As long as homes are going up, the economy is too. Homes would not increase in value like they are now if the country was in a negative economy.
Now, if you want some sound advice then look at the rental market in your area. If its weak then sell your house and move to Atlanta or one of the other top 5 cities for a small business and go make a new start for yourself. If the rental market is strong, then take a second out on your home and use it for your down payment. This will cut out Realtor fees. However, you better know what you're doing before you just let anyone in your home as a renter. Then move to a city with a growing employment center. All you have to do is your homework. There are hundreds of cities in this country that are booming right now. If you are willing to move then move to another city in this country.
Next, how many languages to you speak? If you only speak english then you can forget about any European job success. England is in worst shape that we are.
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
Don't move to upper mid-west states, lol Economy not too good there. Many ppl in my area can not even break even on what their homes are worth. Iam thinking about retiring to AZ. Damn homes are selling like hotcakes there, especially in like Phoneix area, like Scottledale, Fountain Hills, Chandler. Ive gone on realitor.com and saved like 20 homes for future referrence and in one wk more than half are gone and i update saved home at least once a month to keep current and im having a hard time keeping up, lol! 007 is absoultely correct! Check out the top 5 cities and do your research on taxes, job market, utilities, etc.
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
T-MANS RIGHT BRO...I WOULDNT BLAME YOU, IF YOU LOOKED INTO A STATE OR AREA THAT IS DOING BETTER THAN YOURS (DONT KNOW WHERE YOUR AT, BUT IF IT'S LIKE HERE....YOU GOT'S PROBLEMS!) BUT, YOU WONT FIND A COUNTRY WHOSE ECONOMY IS STRONGER....YOUR OR MY ECONOMY MAY SUCK....BUT, THE COUNTRY IS COMING ALONG FINE
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
well where I am Boston, MA everything is getting higher... and the salaries are staying the same... you can`t find a single family home under $400.000 at one point the market was growing now it all stopped.. even the insurance got cheaper.
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
Don't just assume that because the housing market in the area is booming, that the economy is booming in that area. I moved here to Florida and have lived on both the East coast of Florida, and the West coast. The difference in pay rates, employment opportunities, job stability and such are so much different than in other states!
The housing market is absolutely insane and does not match the wages in these area's! The average house in Florida 1500 sq ft on a 1/4 acre start at $200,000.00! You might say thats decent but the average pay rate unless your a doctor, lawyer, or CEO is anywhere from $8-$12.00 per hr. If you work in the construction Industry don't even bother moving here! You'll get paid literally half what you would anywhere else. I have no clue how half these people afford these houses with these wages, especially since homeowners insurance, and energy prices have almost doubled because of the hurricanes last year. I swear you need to either win the lottery or run a meth lab to be able to pay your freaking bills here. But then again the lottery winnings would probably last you three weeks with gas prices how they are!
Make sure you check employment sections in the areas you plan on moving to, to see what the average wages are for your field of work. This will save you a whole lot of stress.
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??
Lol, yeah..I have alot of friends in Clearwater and in New Port Richie, they say you get a single family home with a pool from 150 to 180.000 dollars..
however, about the jobs you are right.
I was watching CNN once where they say Ireland is the best country with the best economy now..lol
Re: Business Deal..what do you think ??

I hear Aussie is beautiful, but never researched the housing. I know that the womens out number the men like 10 to 1 or something like that though.

Don't even get me excited! You can't handle me when I'm excited.
You guys know why the women out number the men? Because the men are out working and get bite by one of Austrailias highly venomous spiders, snakes, scorpions or octopus'. That's right, octopus. There is a small blue ringed octopus that is about 6 inches wide in diameter and one bite will kill you before you even make it to shore. It's the coolest looking octopus I've ever seen, to bad it's so poisonous.
