I use a no calorie sweetener in my kool aid. The mix makes 2 quarts but I dilute to make 1 gallon. In the winter I drink 2 or 3 quarts of this and when it is warmer I drink 1 gallon or more. Would a no calorie sweetener lead to fat gain? Any other health problems?
You know, fake sweeteners like aspartame have been shown IN SOME PEOPLE to cause fat gain by tricking the body into creating insulin because it thinks it is getting sugar it must dispose of it (and any free fats in the blood). Also the by product of aspartame is formaldehyde as it is broken down in the body which is not good for you. I consume a diet drink once every week or two but that is it. Was doing every day and I feel better now that I stopped.
I think monkfruit and stevia sweeteners are better but still not good for you.

i use splenda year round and i also drink the sugar free drink mixes from walmart mainly peach tea. i have zero issues with glucose or fat loss and i get into damn good shape. i do also have a diet soda or two a day as my diet gets deep. no issues still with that either but i do the diet soda in moderation as my hunger starts to get really bad and the carbinated drinks make it go away a bit. on the other hand the carbination is probably worse than the artificial sweetners are. if it helps you hydrate better i say you are still better off to use it but that's just my opinion and i get into nasty shape and check my glucose religiously
Same here. I use Splenda in my coffee year round and have no issues whatsoever
Is anyone of them "better" than the other? I just ordered a bunch of stevia in the raw.

Some folk can get away with it. Aspartame is the real bad one. But all artificial sweeteners can cause probs for some folk.
I have been on GH for the last 7 months. My blood sugar would get high in the morning even before I eat anything on just 3iu. I checked my blood sugar and it was always 10-20 points higher after consuming diet soda even if it is a stevia soda it was elevated(Called Zevia soda which are pretty good and less bad for you as the others.)
I would just try giving up fake sugar for 2 weeks and see how you feel. If better you may be one of those folk that are effected and it is better just top drink water, water with lemon or tea and tea with lemon. (Also lime) Those are my go to drinks. Tea is healthy with no chemicals or such like soda or fake sweet drinks.
sofargone, i think that stuff is better than aspartame, splenda, and sweet n low.

i love crystal light. drink it regularly. sure its prolly horrible for me but i like it. i take 2 packs lemonade and fruitpunch mix with 3 or 4 fresh squeezed lemon ice cubes in those 2 gallon jugs and go to work.. never cared for diet soda at all. suppose theres alot worse i could be drinking

try the walmart brand one man. it is much better imo and has zero chemical taste to it. i drink the hell out of the peach tea. the grape is unreal also but i cant drink to much of it or it gives me the shits haha. it's the only one that does that and i am pretty sure it is from the color. the lemonaide is also off the hookQuote:
