👊🏻 Mythbusters: Creatine causes cancer
A few days ago a clinical trial was published stating that creatine causes cancer... Can this be true? Well, the truth is that it can’t, as stated by Dr. Richard Creider along with 29 other experts in a critique of this clinical trial.
👨🏼*🔬 Problems:
❕They used mice 🐁 in which cancerous cell lines were transplanted.
❕They were given an extremely high dose of creatine, the equivalent of 560 grams in a 154-pound person 🤯.
🧪 Explanation:
❕Those mice were much more likely to develop cancer, regardless of the cause 👎🏻.
❕Anything in massive doses can kill you, even water 💧 .
❕One of the previously published clinical trials showed that creatine could have anticancer 🛡 properties in mice.

my favorite myth is that it increases kidney strain and elevates your creatititne levels
Re: 👊🏻 Mythbusters: Creatine causes cancer
I remember way back when creatine was first becoming popular, there was so much talk about how bad it was and how athletes were hurting themselves taking it lol.

It is also good for your brain. 5 grams ed and 10 grams on lifting days for me. (I only lift 1-2 times a week though.)

Its safe for kids to take as far as I know. If a kid asks me what to take to get bigger for football, I would say take creatine!
