Odd knee issue
Curious if anyone else has experienced something similar to what I have going on with my right knee. I guess I could go get it checked out, but it honestly isn't anything that really bothers me. Just annoying sometimes.
When I kneel down on a hard surface on the front of my right knee, I get a burning sensation off to the right side. It's very strange. It's not a deep burning, feels more toward the outside, but it can be pretty intense if I put all my weight on the knee. Absolutely no other pain at all. It's not sore, doesn't hurt when walking or running. No pain while training, squatting, leg extensions etc... No pain, or burning at all during any activities. Everything feels strong and solid. Only when I kneel down on a hard surface putting pressure on the front of my knee, I get that burning sensation off to the right side.
I can't even remember when it started. The earliest time I can remember noticing it was a while back when I knelt down on my knee washing my truck. I thought it was really odd that the burning sensation was off to the side when I put pressure on the front.
Anyone else ever experience anything like this?

Re: Odd knee issue
burning sensation to me points to a nerve issue most likely pinching somewhere along the line. could be coming from the it band since it is on the outside. if you need to i would go see a good sports massage person in your area that does scrapping and graston work. maybe start rolling the crap out of the it band and hips. that way it doesnt develop into something worse down the line. tight it or outer sweep pressing on the nerve would be my non doctor guess

Re: Odd knee issue
Yes what guns said but don't rule out nerve inpingment. Get it looked at

Re: Odd knee issue
Yeah I guess I need to go get it checked out. There was never any pain and my knee doesn't hurt or bother me in any other way, so I was hoping I just tweaked something and it would go away eventually lol. I honestly forget about it until I have to kneel down on my knee.

Re: Odd knee issue
Yeah get it checked. If it is a cyst or something pressing on nerve easy fix.

Re: Odd knee issue
Tight It bands can cause knee issues too. Maybe roll out on that side of your body and loose it up? I hate rolling out IT bands, lol. damn hurst butr that just means we need to keep on rollin

Re: Odd knee issue
I probably have several areas I need to roll out lol.

Re: Odd knee issue
Exactly with what everyone else says is what I was going to say, it’s probably nerve. Im not Dr but usually numbness, tingling and or burning sensations are results from a nerve related issue of some sorts.
The problem with nerve issues is the issue itself can be right were the pain or problem is, for instance maybe it’s somewhere around the knee/leg area but nerves can be tricky and the area that effect might now be the area that the problem actually is.
Best of luck to you man! I would get it checked out especially if it gets anyworse or if you notice the issue starting to appear even with the weighted load on the leg.
