Help with sports nutrition
Hey everyone so I just started doing gym for the past 3 mounth, though i have some questions.
Is there anyone here who goes to the gym? It would be nice to chat about it.
Ok so im 105kg and im 180cm and 24 years old.
I just finished losing 15kg and i have skin left over on my stomich inside my thighs and under my arms . Should i keep toning up and gaining muscle? will this skin tone up after time? im currently following my friends gym routine which he has been on for 7 months and has gotten amazing resaults. he is helping me alot with workouts showing me how to do them all properly etc...
next question is when should i start taking protein shakes? at the moment i searched a lot on the internet and found a lot of information about protein shakes, but i still do not have practice in this direction
and also what are some good pre workout foods and after workout foods for me ?
thankyou and sorry if this might not make sense im very new to all this.

I am a fan of protein powder but if you should take it depends on how much protein you are taking in now. Are you keeping a food journal? How much body fat do you have? Are you loosing or gaining weight weekly? I would generally say if what you are doing is working keep it up but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.

I think a protein shake after working out will definitely help you gain some muscle mass as it will kickstart the rebuilding process after training. No need to use massive amounts, 25 grams of a high quality protein right after training would be good. I say keep doing what you are doing, just add the protein after. As for pre-workout foods, if you are working out hard and not gassing out then why add the extra calories? A handful of almonds or an apple would be fine if you are hungry before training. Do not over think it.
