I figured out how to train around my shoulder issue. For upper chest what can I do instead of incline dumbbell or barbell presses?

you can try to find an incline machine or hammer strength incline. not much else will hit your upper chest other than that that i am aware of. well db pullovers when you keep your butt down and lay across the bench does also but may hammer your issue even more. all are worth a try
I like doing my inclines in the smith machine. Feels like it lets me take my shoulders out of the lift and focus more on the squeeze in my upper pecs.
There's quite a few version of cable exercises that can hit that area at all. I don't know the name of the exercise, so this might be a bit vague on the description of the movement, but using both cables and standing with a split stance centered between the cable machine and the handles placement is at the bottom of the machine you will make a sweeping motion forward with your arms in a fairly stiff position out towards a point I envision in front of my face. This probably didn't help, but I made the attempt lol.
this is my main exercise for chest especially when i had healed from first shoulder surgery and awaiting word on the next shoulder fix. even with my shoulder barking on most everything else i could do smith inclines with 245 and not have big pain issues while the hammer strength iso incline machine tore up the shoulder every time.
Cables work great for my shoulders. I can adjust angle to where it does not hurt. My shoulder (Partially torn labrum/minor tear) has pretty much rehabbed and I am 99%.
I tore it doing heavy DB incline press and got out of shape. I can go light now with DBs but stick to cable for safety sake.
I do loads of pushup bars with my feet elevated. I weight 230 so the higher my feet are, the heavier it feels. Hits my upper chest real good.
I think from being forced off of gear(for fertility) and subsequently taking time off from the gym has led to my body healing my shoulder to probably 80%. I didnt think there was anything that could help heal it but it seems time off did a lot for me. Since I went hard with gear and training mid 2018 this is the first time back in the gym with my full attention and I feel great.
^^^That's awesome! I know the feeling. I just got off a 5 month break which was the longest I've ever taken a break from the gym besides moments in my military career where I didn't have access to a gym, but still got it in with flak vest training lol. Some times your body needs something like that. I'm about a month and a half back in full tilt and catching back up quick.
Heck yeah man it's a great feeling I just finished a month of training I've put on 13 lb I look like a completely different person. The wife doesn't give me credit because I use juice LOL it's not real she says

Haha you like that? She understands I'm on replacement therapy but because it's also considered a steroid that falls under the category of I'm on steroids it's the dumbest argument ever LOL

you may want to educate her with research and videos. most people just go off what they hear from the media and docs that are just plain stupid. so in all reality they really dont know any better. that's why it's our job to educate them and make society better. i have educated more than one doctor myself haha.
Hell yeah man these are one of my favorite exercises of all time no joint pain at all. Is this really work upper chest?

yes and was one of the best things i found to get mine to grow. actually started getting stretch marks for the first time in my shoulder pec tie in when i added them in. growth went through the roof but it's all about technique. if you do them for back lay on the bench normal and hang head off and only pull to your forehead. for chest you have to lay across the bench and keep your ass below your sternum for the entire range of motion(ass low as possible) inhale on the stretch and pull through to your upper abs and squeeze the piss out of your chest as you pull through. the stretch is just as important as the full hard contraction at the top. it will make it grow trust me if you are doing it properly
Alright cool, I keep my back and butt flat on the bench and lower the weight back as far as i can. Usually I can touch the ground with the DB. I did this exercise today for a finisher and yea I could feel it for sure!
Learned this from Fuzo, and its been almost 20 years since he had 3 shoulder surgeries with no issues again. He still trains his chest hard with a closer barbell grip taking stress off the shoulders. Also has incorporated modifications with machines as he has gotten older
Hey Hick, you still training?
