Solicitation phone calls
How do you stop them?
Now these bastards are using other peoples phone #s so it looks like youre getting a local call. I call the number back and ask "did you just call me?" "No, I never called you"
I have T mobile. I wonder if T mobile can do anything to stop this. Ive already gotten 2 calls in 30 minutes today. One was Marriot hotels and the other was Mastercard. Its getting annoying.

No doubt! Thats probably why Im getting flooded by scam calls now since I answered the phone a couple times thinking it was someone I knew. They should outlaw the use of other peoples phone #s for scam calls.

yeah man, i know what your saying. i have tried blocking them reporting them the whole 9 yards and i still get them day in and day out. if these fuckers put in half the effort into good work instead of scamming they could be very successful people. nope they are trying to screw you hard core

Re: Solicitation phone calls
Fuzo tells him that he died and it works. If they call randomly without his name, he says a whole lot of obnoxious stuff.

Re: Solicitation phone calls
man those things piss me off. one of the reason why i dont answer the house phone. now they are calling my cell and using local looking numbers...

Re: Solicitation phone calls
I called one number back and an old granny answered the phone. I say "Did you just call me?" Granny: "No, I never called you".
Something about this sure seems illegal. Oh well

Re: Solicitation phone calls
Phone companies can block them if they wanted to. If I don't see your name listed I don't answer, period.

Re: Solicitation phone calls
I ask them what they are wearing and it escalates from there to telling them I want to bang them like a screen door in a hurricane. Amazing how long an Indian guy named "Steven" will stay on the phone trying to get my social security number while I am talking about railing him.
Unfortunately most are automated.....

i cant believe that both the scammer is a moron and anyone that thinks social security or any gov agency is going to call you. fools, hell call one of the agencies and see how long it takes to get through. that and they are pretty much still the only people on the planet that only do business through the mail. bout as bad as people thinking that if they have a warrant for your arrest they will call you demanding you pay it by pre paid card or money gram lmao. yep the law calls you up for a warrant.
-
Re: Solicitation phone calls
I just don't answer it, or reject it. The time my own number was calling me was the funniest.

Re: Solicitation phone calls
Ok guys I'm gonna drop a bomb shell revelation on ya,a LARGE majority of how these solicitors get your number is by the xxx sites you visit, Sad but true! Stop accessing xxx sites on your phone and u will see a significant drop in the number of solicitation calls you get. You can test this by not accessing them and seeing the number drop, then access your favorite site again and you will get a call within 2 to 3 days just about every time.

i get blown up day in and day out and i have never, not one time visited any site whatsoever on my cell phone. i dont use my phone on the net period. it's your freaking phone company that does it. that's the only thing i can figure out
-
Re: Solicitation phone calls
I'm sure that's a possible source for them getting your info also. I'm with vrzn and I dont really have a problem ever with solicitation calls unless I visit adult site. I've tested the theory several times and ita most certainly the reason I get them lol

Re: Solicitation phone calls
Unfortunately, these calls are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and it's harder to stop them. I've heard of some companies selling databases with phone numbers and then using them for targeted advertising and sales calls. It's not fair or legal, but it's hard to stop it from happening.
You can use a free number for verification. This method gives you a temporary number that you can use for online verification and sign-ups. You can keep your personal number private and still receive important calls.
Also, you can contact your phone provider and ask them if they can do anything to block these calls for you.

Re: Solicitation phone calls
i actually get a laugh out of trolling the assclowns who call. We've been getting a bunch on our office phone lately where i work for a municipality, i answer the robocall and reply to all the robo voice prompt questions til the automated voice says they're transferring me to a service person and then when Apu comes on sounding like he's about to ask me if i would like a grape squishee i say you do realize you're robocalling the sheriff's dept right? They usually say what? i say you are illegally robocalling the sheriff's dept and i either get an oh, sorry or simply .....click lmfao

Re: Solicitation phone calls
In this case, you're having some privacy issues caused by using your phone number for registering on various websites and, that way, giving a chance to the companies to use your number for inappropriate calls. Therefore, you should start using a temporary phone number for verification purposes to avoid such calls and stay safe online.
-
Re: Solicitation phone calls
Hi there! Seems like you have some privacy issues regarding your phone number, which I used to have as well, but found a free solution to stay anonymous. It's a simple way, just start using a virtual phone number

Re: Solicitation phone calls
Ironic that a forum topic about unwelcome scam/spam call is resurrected by some other spammer dropping contextual backlinks to a website they’re promoting.
Fucking shit bag 3rd world SEO’s that don’t realize forum links from a different industry carry virtually no impact on seo and website authority/rankings. Google squashed that like 15 years ago.

Hi! Dude things like these have happened to be before. That is why I just don't use just one phone number, I use many, and they are all virtual numbers, this is the only way I do not get spam calls. Give it a try.
