SFG’s “lets be honest I probably won’t follow through” journal
I’ve been pretty disgusted with myself lately.
I’m thinking about trying to get back into shape. I’m not focused so much on “bodybuilding” or anything right now. Right now my goal is to ease my way back into working out and to just stop being fat. If I can follow through long enough to do that then I will change focus to rebuilding muscle mass.
I’m going to be honest and at times probably a little stupid in this but hopefully that will help, besides This is the internet and I don’t know anyone personally and you guys have always been helpful for me
I’ve been lost AF since getting out of the military and have lost all purpose or motivation for literally anything.
I’m battling severe depression and a multitude of other medical issues which really puts a hindering on me making any progress.
I have sleep apnea and if I get any sleep it’s terribke I’m exhuasted all day so I’m hoping fixing my diet can at least help this issue.
So I guess step one is starting this log. I’ve already ordered meals from a meal service to hopefully start getting the worst part of my diet fixed, my lunch at work which is made up mostly of fast food.

Just got it about a week ago. Haven’t used it yet I need to clean it and set it up. I’ll do that this week forsure. I should of had it almost 2 years ago when I was told without a medical exam during a C&P exam “you don’t have sleep apnea” so it was dead right there. I finally decided tonfight it and finally got my disnosis and my machine.

so far today was ok.
I skipped my daily energy drink today.i drink one energy drink a day sometimes 2. terrible i know.
I had a few cups of water, 1 water bottle and a gatorade, doesn't sound like much but my usual day is a gatorade or 2 and an energy drink and no water lol.
For lunch I had 1 small slice of pizza leftover from dinner and 6 whole eggs with hot sauce and jalepanos.
I am currently making 6 whole eggs again because I'm hungry af.
I am also going to start cleaning up my garage and getting things setup so i can actually start working out.

I'm game to follow along. My wife suffers from severe depression and has fallen off the wagon of training and like you has 0 energy or drive to do anything. She basically is a couch potato. She is in some pretty aggressive therapy for past trauma. She is also on meds for her depression, it's such a wicked cycle, just be easy on yourself and like already stated "one day at a time". Start walking 30 minutes a day. Do push-ups, bodyweight exercises, try not to be to sedentary, portion control, meal prep is key. You will have all the support and knowledge you will need here. Im having issues replying for some reason but best wishes for you and your wife i know how hard this can be.I appreciate your kind words, thank you. I am going to doctors finally and fighting the va on a lot of things but i also need to change some things that i can actually control.

dont skimp on using it man. takes a bit to get used to but stay on it. you will lose weight feel better and your health and health markers will improve dramatically. just have to be consistent

I’m going to get it cleaned up and play with it this weekend so I can start it. I was upset I needed one and didn’t want to use it but my sleep is so garbage I’m going to hop on it. I try so hard to fix my issues but I just let me ego get in the way it’s so hard to not only admit something is wrong but seek help and follow through with it.

So I had one mixed drink and like 85% of a can of pepsi with it. I cleaned the garage out a good bit and even hopped on the bike and did a small HIIT workout. 20 seconds on balls to wall and 2 minutes rear. Absolutely garbage but I’m so out of shape I almost died. I did 5 rounds.
Considering I didn’t intend to workout at all tonight i say that’s a start. I follow the workout with 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk mixed with a bunch of mixed berries into a smoothie.

Lastnight ended with a brownie. I had no intentions of it but my wife baked brownies and didn’t tell me and just brought one in the room and I ate the bastard.
This morning I had Cinnamon Toast Crunch lol. I’m finishing off the box and then I won’t buy more. No milk, unsweetened almond milk instead.
1 glass of water
Lunch was 6 whole eggs 2 pieces of whole grain bread and a little ketchup, hot sauce and some seasonings
Couple more glasses of water
I made another smoothie with mixed frozen berries and unsweetened almond milk.
No energy drink again today but I did have an energy packet. It’s a strike force energy packet, owned and operated by vets. You pour it in a water bottle, 0 calories and 0 sugars. I think it has 130mg of caffeine. I sip on it throughout the day.
Plan is to go home and do some more cardio and maybe hit some curls and dead lifts just to kind of get back into it.
No clue what’s for dinner Friday is usually pizza and heavy boozing so hopefully I can find a healthy alternative.

day at a time brutha, life gets in the way sometimes plus your not single so things change.. you been where you want to be so you know how to get there.. consistency is you best friend.

Im sorry for grammar errors a lot of my posts are mobil. Also i apologize for no really rhyme or reason or order to my posts but i need to just get in here and post if i stick with it i will clean it up and make it more uniform over time.
So last night i got home, super tired and a little frustrated. I fell asleep on the couch and when i woke up i just chilled, no workout but today i feel much better i needed it.
I ate 6 more whole eggs and more water.
I had 2 mixed drinks (rum and coke) and about 1.5 cans of soda with them.
For dinner i got chipotle, white rice, double steak, mild and hot sauce, lettuce and cheese. I ate about 90% of it but there guy LOADED my up with rice.
Went to sleep at a reasonable time and got a better night sleep then i have in a few weeks.
Woke up today and relaxed for a little.
I ate half of my wife left over chipotle bowl from dinner, White rice, chicken, mild sauce, queso and sour cream.
I ended up getting my ass into the garage (fl heat, no ac, no fan) and did 22 minutes on the bike and just over 6 miles. Its one of those crossfit games style air station bike, they are actually smokers if you put out effort. I wanted to quit after like 5 minutes but i stuck with it, i only planned on doing 20 minutes but i was past 5.50 miles so i just ran it out to 6 miles.
No pre workouts or anything, I lifted some weight but again not going hard or doing any real workouts rn, i want to just get back into it.
I threw on a 15lbs weight vest for the fuck of it.
I did my favorite dumbbell superset for 3 sets, All standing with 30lbs dumbbell:
1st arm first set:
x8 curls
x8 cross body hammer curl
x8 hammer curl
Then you switch and do left arm same thing then rest. 3-5 sets. I was getting sloppy set 3 so i only did 3 sets.
This is my "finisher" arm workout and back in my prime i would end a workout with this workout. It gives an insane pump and forces so much blood into your arms its a great confidence booster when you see your pump, big dick energy for sure leaving the gym with this pump.
I liked to take my "break" with a tricep workout, usually some sort of cable pull down. So basically you would do your 3 workouts left arm, switch to right, then move over and do a tricep pull down set then jump back into the curls. 3-5 sets 8-12 reps but usually i like to pick a weight that 8 reps is hard on the last set or 2. Right now thats about 25lbs back in the day it was about 35. You want strict reps here and the idea is to squeeze at the top of each curl and really force the blood in.
I ended with 3 sets of 10 with a 60lbs curl bar.
I am feeling good but don't want to kill myself or burn myself out to quickly. I also don't want to be so sore i can't function at work, I'm easing my way in.
I will hit the cardio again later. just sitting in the garage today was like a sauna and its not even that hot, once july hits it will be insane in there. Im going to ease my way into 2 cardio session a day with the morning session being 30-60 minutes for fat burn and the night session being shorter session focusing on high intensity. Again my biggest goal right now is fat loss so i can get my confidence back up to actually put in the work on the weights.
I forgot to do it or post it but my starting weight is 280lbs.... how fucking embarrassing. I'm 6'1" and always carried a lot of mass even when i was in real good shape i was always heavier then i looked. Not that that is an excuse for being a sorry excuse for a veteran.
Right now my goal is to plunge under 250lbs and see who i look and feel, at that point i will have built a solid base, got some muscle memory back and i will incorporate a lot more workouts into the cardio mix.
I have not been on any supplements or AAS.
Starting today i am taking magnesium, fish oil, multi vitamin, vitamin c, vitamin D, vitamin b12 and tudca.
I am also going to start protein shakes. 1 per day maybe 2 to help fill a meal slot or something.
Planned cycle:
Test E 500mg/ew
Tren E 200-300mg/ew (depending on if my bottles are 100 or 150mg/ml)
MK-677: 20mg/ed
GW-501516: 10-20mg/ed
Probably rum adex as well.
Going to up my water intake and get myself back to a gallon+ per day and also adding in sugar free green teas and other teas i used to enjoy that didn't really mess up a diet.
So Thats it for now. Going to make a berry smoothie and 6 more eggs and chill out for a little.

So I’m starting this over.
I’ve been in a bad spot mentally for a while.
I’ve been back and fourth with the VA for the last 6+ months with multiple appointments a week.
Life is going ok right now, I’m getting some help and I’m on some medications and I am in a better spot mentally. I’m hoping I can hang on this time.
Unfortunately I have gained even more weight since I started this post.
My plans and my diets have changed around a bit but the basic Principle remains the same. I’m going to be honest with myself and take baby steps.
My main concern right now is losing weight and gaining some confidence back. Once that happens and I can get into the habit of working out and eating right again I will focus more on actually lifting.
My plan right now is to run a keto based diet (I know, but keep in mind fat loss is goal #1 right now)
I’m going to do cardio twice a day probably 5-6 days a week
Weight lifting, with whatever I can do in my garage with the gear I have (some dumbbells, a bar, about 450lbs in plates and some other random equipment, going to grab some more KB’s and DB’s

Didn’t finish my last one before posting it. I’m getting used to Tapatalk again. Sorry about that.
Anyway.
Current plan is to eat about
2000-2,200 calories per day and be around these numbers for everything else:
Fat: 175g
Protein: 130g
Carbs: 39g
Cycle will be basic and my favorite to run:
Test E: 500mg/ew
Tren E: 300mg/ew
Proviron: 50mg/ed
GH 4iu’s/ED (first time using GH)
Will probably run Adex
Also planning on running DNP for probably 2 weeks taking some time off then running it again.
This is going to be baby steps, will be boring for a while but I’m hoping I can stay the course. Follow along but I don’t blame you for not paying attention for a while lol.

Lunch was Taco Bell. 2 quesadillas and some soda.
Dinner was chicken ravioli and 2 vodka and cranberry lights.
I went shopping tonight and hit Costco for the new diet. Might hit the other grocery store and get the rest. Will probably start a he diet this weekend. Need to clear the garage out

Bought the wife a new car last night so I’m beat today.
Going to head home soon and hit the grocery store to buy everything I couldn’t get at Costco. Hoping to meal prep tonight and maybe clear out some of the garage.
Breast was a bag of mixed nuts and a can monster energy zero
Lunch was water and a chicken burrito bowl, with pinto beans, lettuce, cheese and salsa, no sour cream or queso.
Not sure what’s for dinner yet. Just wanted to force myself to log something to try and get into a habit here.

Dinner was 2 turkey burger with buns and ketchup.
Also had a Cesar salad as well didn’t measure anything.
Had 2 vodka and diet cranberries, might make it 3.
Didn’t make it to the store. Might still go later but I’m about to start in the garage so it might wait until tomorrow.

Garage is about 50% cleaned out. Really need a shed to store the bullshit to give me the proper room but by the end of tomorrow night i will have enough room for basic work outs and my cardio bike and things.
Tonight I will get some good sleep and tomorrow i will get off at a decent time and will do some more cleaning, food prep and shopping. I will also look into the shed.

Breakfast was a monster zero and I tried to eat a protein blueberry muffin and it was one of the WORST things I ever put in my mouth. Never buy muffin+ muffins.
Lunch was some rotisserie chicken, black beans and yellow rice and 3 fried plantain bites.
Dinner was tacos.
Havnt starting pinning or meal prepping or working out yet. This week has been insane. Next week should be better. Hoping to start eating my diet and working out, at least cardio on Saturday. Hopefully tomorrow.
I’ve had 3 vodka diet cranberry tonight.
I did manage to not only hit the grocery store and buy the rest of what o needed but I also ordered some GH tonight.
I also ordered some coffee and a new coffee maker and a hard boiled egg maker from amazon that should be here tomorrow. So hopefully no more energy drinks starting this weekend.

About half a gallon down on water right now.
Weight was 280 but that was a night time weigh.
I will weight first thing tomorrow for a “starting” weight.
I have a shit ton Of things to do this weekend and I’m going out of town but the goal is to eat healthy all weekend and Monday morning starts cardio twice per day and the new meal plan if I don’t have the ability this weekend.
Haven’t decided what’s for dinner yet. Will update again later or tomorrow.

Started my diet today.
Meal prepping chicken, in the crock pot right now
Breakfast was
2 cups of Keto coffee
4 whole eggs
4 slices of bacon
1 cups spinach
Half a bell pepper
Half a onion
A bunch of cheese
Butter
Seasoned with pink sea salt, fresh crushed black pepper, crushed cayenne pepper and some garlic powder

Dinner was boneless skinless chicken thighs over cauliflower rice.
I cooked the chicken in a crock pot with heavy cream, spinach, olive oil, sun dried tomatoes and cheese.
It came out fantastic.

I know I’m only 2 days into dieting and 0 days into working out but I cheated today.
I didn’t plan to start my diet until Monday anyway so I suppose I’m still on top. My good friend from my deployment swung by today for a few hours, he was in town for 1 day and I have not seen him in over 2 years almost 3. so I took him out for food and drinks.
I ate a Cuban sandwich, fries, we all shared nachos and I can’t even say how many drinks I had. Maybe 7-8?
I don’t plan on eating anything else tonight, maybe a stick of cheese and I’m about to hit the sack and get a good nights sleep.
Today although it was a terrible day for food and what I’m trying to do was a great day for mental health and I needed it.
Tomorrow we are back into the diet and will probably start working out, at least cardio tomorrow.

skipped breakfast today but i had kept coffee
its just black coffee with gee butter, pink sea salt and something else in it, i forgot lol. I honestly just buy the remade kept coffee, i genuinely enjoy it.
NO Energy drink today!
lunch was chicken thighs in a heavy cream sauce, same as dinner the other night it was left overs, this time no cauliflower rice and i didn't weight the chicken
I also had a cheese stick and mixed nuts after
dinner was 5 whole eggs, half a bell pepper, a hand full of spinach and mushroom, half a small onions, a teaspoon of jalepanos, teaspoon of garlic.
added fresh ground black pepper, pink sea salt and cayenne pepper.
I've had maybe 3 gray goose and diet cranberries tonight.
I usually snack later at night so I might eat a hard boiled egg and sugar free jelly or maybe a couple pork rinds and a sugar free jelly.
Going to go to bed soon. ill try and wake up early and do some cardio. Well see what happens.

So to finish last night off I had about 4 pork rinds and a sugar free jello.
Woke up early and did 30 minutes of cardio. I didn’t go hard, I need to ease my way back in but I did about 8 miles on my little CrossFit stationary bike.
Weigh in this morning was 278
I’m 2 bottles of water deep for the day which is a nice head start. About to make my coffee and usual 4 egg and veggie with bacon breakfast and coffee.
Lunch will be the last of the left over chicken thighs with mixed nuts and possibly a hard boiled egg
and I’ll meal prep something else tonight for the rest of the weeks lunch.
I’m also attempting to drink this green superfood drink right now lol.

Dinner was stuffed peppers with cauliflower rice instead of rice. It was good
Desert was sugar free jello, had a few vodka crans
Dogs kept me up almost all night. So early rude for cardio.
No breakfast just Keto coffee in the mornin
Lunch will be left over peppers and 1-2 hard boiled eggs if I’m hungry still.
