that is pretty awesome dirt. good on you man
thanks for helping those in FLA dirt.. last year when irma hit my power was out for 8 days work power was out for 5 days place was a mess.. man am i glad i bought a 22k generator 10 years ago.. had the ac running every night.. went thru over 300.00 of gas on those 8 days..
going thru that showed me this country would fall apart if anything major happened..........
That's awesome dirt. You're a good man
Some people got the stuff together. They rented a van and paid my expences down and back. I do not work so I did it. It was fun and I would do it again for sure.
Thanks man. That is super cool.
its all good.. its amazing how a community comes together when things like this happen.. when some got power they would let others borrow there generator and or give there gas to friends etc.... been making plans to get a whole home stand by unit for this reason.. yea i was without power for 8 days but had a gen unit so life wasnt all that bad.. i learned that years ago when charlie and wilma hit and had no power for 2 days. that was rough since i am on a well so no power means no water. charlie hit in aug and man was it hot with no power never again...
I am going to make another trip soon. What do they need most?
we just went through 8 days as well man. everyone ran out of gas the whole 9 yards and we were prepared for it. these freaking storms suck ass. other than being hot as balls not having a good hot meal is probably the most miserable or making nasty ass coffee on the grill haha
good stuff dw
i would say water, canned foods, tolietries, and coffee. i am pretty sure that's the biggest items that are hard to come by in areas where stores and electricity are out. no point in fresh perishable foods and things of that nature with no power. it took over a week when the stores here got power back for them to start getting good food back in
