I read there is not enough tryptophan in food to make a diff. It is more mediated by insulin. I can eat a huge carb free meal and feel bloated and full but do not get sleepy. I eat 2 servings of pasta and a gelato after I am crashed on the couch.
The biggest one that gets me is Thanksgiving dinner every year. We usually eat ours early around 3 pm and I'm out the rest of the day.

This is why I don't eat a big lunch at work. If I sit down and have a big lunch, I'm done for the day. I get so sluggish
