Ya man, thats a cool store. Way cheaper than any other tool store
The only thing is the quality may not be so good so you have to check it good
Yes, some things there are good and some stuff is junk that wont last very long
People say harbor freight stuff is junk and will not last..........man I have a cordless drill that was $16 i have beaten that thing thinking of it as a disposable POS but it keeps working. I have a makita and a craftsman cordless drill and hammerdrill and they feel better but function no better.
Also their wrenches and such are fine for me. Never broken a harbor freight socket. I have a palm sander from them that works like a champs. sanded every door in my house and it still works like the day I bought it. I tiled my house with a HF tile saw.
Yeah, I would rather have dewalt or makita tools but for the $$$ I will stick to HF as I can buy 4X as many tools as if I bought name brand stuff. In 10 years the Makita will still be running and the HF probably will not...........Oh well. buy another. Oh, I have the electric chain pole saw tree trimmer thing I got with a 20% off coupon. It has trimmed my trees for 3 years. I cut up solid oak logs for my smoker with it. All I have done is sharpen the chain and make sure the reservoir is full of oil.
Also gloves, shop towels, clamps and such are top notch IMO.
LOVE me some HF.
some of there stuff is ok..
We got one in our town last year, you're gonna leave outta' there with something !
Never seen it around me
Harbor freight most definitely saves loot, but like it was stated, quality. I had a wrench completely fall apart in my hands 20 stories up..lol. Luckily nothing went off the swing. So it's pick where and when certain brands are used.
If I was a pro i would buy pro tools I use daily. but as a weekend warrior their stuff it great. If I buy a circular saw i would buy a proper brand saw. Oh I would not because i have had a makita circ saw for 25 years and it works as good now as it did when I bought it. It was used when I worked construction. I have a dewalt corded drill that i have had longer and has driven many many thousands of screws and drilled thousands and thousands of holes.
Buy harbor freight for 1/5 the price have it for 15 years if you use it modestly or buy a high end brand if you want it forever.
Buy Stihl chain saws. Worth a little more money. They start with one or two pulls even after it sat all winter. I dont know what chain saws HF has but they aint no stihl.
