The man in blue cut me a break

I do not text while I drive...EVER! Well yesterday, during a bit of family drama, I was at a red light and had my phone in my hand. I hear a beep cause the light turned green. So I make the turn and on go the lights! lol I get my license, and insurance card out, as the officer approaches. He asks for it, and I hand it to him. He says my name and says "now why were you texting?" lol I responded with a quick reply, and got a short lecture. Told him my record was squeaky clean, and he went and checked. Came back and said he was giving me a break. I said " Thank you officer, I appreciate it". I needed a friendly reminder I guess? Just glad he gave me a break, and I am cool as a cool cucumber... Nothing is that important that it cant wait till you are off the road:)
