Taking time off???
How often do you guys take a break, maybe a few days or even a week? I literally haven’t missed a scheduled training session in two years. I got sick this last week, first time in a long time and I’m out of commission here for a few days. Trying to understand the value of rest and taking care of my CNS.

Re: Taking time off???
I rarely miss a gym session . If I ever do miss I feel as if something is wrong, I just love to train.
Recently I caught the Flu and it put me out of commission for almost 2 weeks. The first week I felt like dieing , it was bad bro. I lost almost 14 lbs , couldn't keep any food down. Anyways , those 2 weeks , believe it or not made me want and come back even stronger and more eager to get my Gains and strength back. So even this atm it seems as if your fucking up your routine, it may be a good thing because when you get back you'll want to kill shit , and have more drive , or that's what happened to me . Take it as a good thing and just tear shit up when you come back!!!

Re: Taking time off???
I usually train on a 4-day split, 4 days on 1 day off. I'll maintain that schedule for a few months and then try to take a week off. I used to have a huge problem taking time away from the gym, but over the years I've noticed my gains and strength are always much improved with that that added rest.

Re: Taking time off???
Every could of weeks I will take 3-4 days off and relax a bit and just do cardio. allows my old joint inflammation to go away some and I feel great when I get back to it but then I am an old guy too so maybe it is different for younger fellas.
