You mean the things that go on the bar after the plates? I leave them off. Makes me work harder for balance. You can leave them on tho. I don't think it's a big deal...unless you put them on the Smith machine. That's just funny as hell lol
Collar and leash for Trixie always turns me on so yes. And on the bar I always use them because I have had shoulder and or elbow give way before and can not afford an injury at this age.
Yeeouch. If it's to prevent injuring yourself def use them.
I think i overheard someone with a better bench than I saying it helps keep both sides equally strong. Afterwards i remember my lifts esp presses went up considerably when I stopped using them And for me more weight means more muscle gains. That was my experience anyway. Like I said before if someone else uses them I don't think any less of them. Whatever works...except the Smith.
If youre bench pressing at home alone, leave the collars off. If you get stuck you can dump the plates. Otherwise you will be crushed to death
I call them form correctors lol. I usually leave them off unless I'm going super heavy, or doing deadlifts.
Use on heavy sets. Safety first. Everyone thinks they're so cool until they get injured from some dumb sh*t.
never use them Im a professional, lol
