Does anyone have any real obese friends

If you do or dont what can I do to try and help them. Yeah I know I cant do anything but we can what would you do.I have a real good friend and she is obese but beautiful

I have a couple mostly because I just have so many friends and acquaintances from the different organizations I'm involved with.

What I primarily do is just to offer them friendship and fellowship and if they ask I try to be non-judgemental and to provide small easy steps to take...if they ask

I used to work for an organization where one of the Specialties was to help people lose weight. We would regularly have people come in who were 500 lb+

I have some dear people close, to me, that are quite overweight. Funny thing is I don't even notice it. This is part of the reason I do not poke fun of people who are overweight. The people I know have real deep scars that they have masked, and coped with by eating. It saddens me... so how I help them is to be a good listener who hears them as I teach them things I have learned. I am their biggest cheerleader, and continue to point out all the wonderful things about them. Try to teach them that small changes and progress are still accomplishments. Helping them helps me too

I can understand how someone can be so addicted to food that they will let that happen to themselves. In the culture we live in, its hard not to be obese. Thats why half of americans are obese. Its hard not to be fat

I have a very good childhood friend that is morbidly obese. He and I have known each other for so long the topic has causally come up here and there over time. I always try to be as supportive and motivating as I can. There have been many times when it's been tough to see his lifestyle, especially since I'm so dedicated to the gym. But, I stay positive and motivating. He goes through seasons where he's really motivated and others when he isn't. I just always make sure to let him know I'm in his corner 100% when he's trying.

I do have a few and tried to talk to them about weight loss.i believe all the talking and positive attitude in the world won't make them change only they can do that when they are ready.i don't even look at them as over weight truly I just see my friend now they are great hearted people some even tell me they are happy with there size and some tell me they have a food addiction .
