Aiming for my GBO Pro card at the Nubret International Fitness Expo.

Currently I am 37 days out. Holding at 194lbs steadily. I will be competing in 3 diferent classes, hoping to get my pro card in at least 1 of them. I will be in Mens Traditional Bodybuilding Open, Masters Traditional Bodybuilding and Classic Mens Bodybuilding Open. The show is in OKC February 27th

How far out do you drop gear and/or sodium?

hopefully our little secret trick will be that last little bit. you are already damn near money as is. keep trucking man and it should be a breeze

you do not drop your gear out completely nor do you drop out sodium entirely. those are recipes for disaster for 99.9% of people out there.

not dropping a thing until last minute, water i actually increase the last week and stop at 6pm on friday night. Sip a few ounces with each meal and thats it. as far as the gear i normally stop 2-3 days out, last thing i need is to screw up and get a knot or site infection.

Thank you all for the feedback, i am really hoping to win this damn thing, if i do i may head to TX in December 2016 for the Mr. Atlas contest.

My poses are a little off, i woke up early and hit the poses right away, so i was a bit out of it.

Heres an update, 2 weeks out from my show. holding at 187lbs but should step on stage around 190lbsAttachment 70906

you got ab veins obliques and cross straitions going on so i would say you are on the freaking money. going to be hard to beat unless the dude that is 5ft 2 and weighs 190 shows up in the same condition lol.

Just a quick update. I took 2nd in Light Heavy Open, 1st in Classic Bodybuilding and 1st in Masters Light Heavy and won my Pro Card!!

Thank you bratha. this show was hard as hell. I had to go against guys from italy, Columbia and UK. The italians were no joke lol

I am looking to get on Nationals stage in November, was going to do Masters Nationals in July but currently waiting to get surgery on Umbilical Hernia...just a slight detour in plans.

Id love to do the nationals but if i do id lose my pro card. I can compete in any federation on an amateur level, but cant do nationals :(

ok, i will share a little info that i got from the chairman last year freak. so you can compete as a pro and make money all day long and still do local and regional shows in the npc as long as the promoter or no one complains. if someone complains then you forefit your placement in that show. now they have a new thing they implemented a few years back. you can compete as a pro for as long as you want, then q for nationals in the npc see the above. you have to submit to the npc for a renouncement of pro status form and then you are eligable to compete at any national show. so you can do this one time and one time only and you are then cleared hot again as an ameature status. back when i got my freaking pro card in 97 or should i say was eligable from placement to take a card, the npc didnt allow it at all. so i rolled into the npc and went with it from then on. i know of 3 athletes in my area that renounced last year and are now competing nationally. imho they were better in their pro and dont place well in the npc but that's on them haha

The GBO rules state i can compete in any federation as an amateur. But cant do nationals. I would love to go for my ifbb pro card but the chances of me getting it are SLIM. VERY SLIM. So i wont risk it. Now i may do a local npc show as a warm up for my pro show in december but wouldnt go to nationals. Im not sure how they will do this pro show, we have pro traditional bodybuilders like myself and they have pro classic bodybuilders as well as masters. So i wonder if we all go head to head for the title of Mr. Atlas or what....? Hoping they post that info soon.
