Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
My doc suggested an ultrasound guided nerve block for my pain from CT. Trying to decide if I should bother with it or not. Fuzo has had both hands surgically done for carpal tunnel and I certainly don't want to get to that point. I am just glad I am no longer doing hair. Its getting hard to hold things in that hand and for a while there I thought I broke my thumb until my doctor said it was all from that. After lil ones softball games, the pain is quite bad from the hard clapping, lol. Think I need to clap less and yell louder.
Anyway, I am not interested in surgery but wondering if any of you did the nerve block and if it helped?
thanks
Re: Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
Well dang, hopefully you dont have to go that route. Ive known people where it helps and some people who it didnt help at all. Not sure what the success rate is on those things.

Re: Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
with my accident and getting the surgeries on both hands that nerve block didn't do shit.If you truly have carpel tunnel get the surgery./But a lot of people think they might have carpel tunnel but its coming from your nerves in your neck to your hands and fingers. So the test will def help
Re: Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
i might have carpul tunnel in my right hand but haven't gotten it tested, i didn't know there was other options other than surgery...other than just natural stuff that could help it

Re: Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
have you tried the hand braces for relief baby1? some people sweat by them. i got lucky and mine died off and went away. at least that's what the nerve guy told me happened
Re: Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
scheduled for the end of the month! I will give it a shot and see if it helps. My doc says "it hurts" I told him " Ive been through worse" lol. Always how I have to think
Re: Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
I am not sure it is jus carpal tunnel though but we will see. Every joint in both hands are flared
Re: Nerveblock for carpal Tunnel
Been about a month and I would say it is 70% better so I will have to see for how long. Doc thinks its from my cervical area though. Gave me a dosepak and suggested 2 cervical epidurals next time. That is a NO for me,lol. Dosepak doesn't usually help anyway. I will just deal with it but glad my hand is a bit better. getting back to the gym will be the test. have to remind myself to take it SLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW

I had a couple in my low back already. One last 8 months the other 2. I hope yours helps you? the worst symptom from my low back was the radiating pain to the sciatic, down my leg, to my toes.
