? For those whom are married.
Brothers where and how did you propose to your wife and would you change anything how long have you been married?
Our first date I drove 375 miles to meet her she took me to lake Julian we sat by the shore for 6 hrs just talking I told her I loved her that day ( yes love at first site). That was March 23 of 2004. Two years later I saved up enough to buy her a 1.25 carrot ring. I took her to lake Julian we sat on a blanket with a pic neck for 3 hrs before I could get the nerve up to ask her , I asked her to stand up for a picture I got on both knees and popped the ? She said yes before I could finish the? And we both had tears of joy. We have had a lot of great times together and we have had just as many bad times. But we stayed together no matter what, we say to each other after we have a fight we know we love each other and are soul mates because we make it threw all the bAd stuff and love each other more ed. Every marriage has hazard times I would not change anything we have been threw good or bad because all that makes a marriage better and stronger. I thank god for such a good woman ed. We have been together almost 11 years. So let's hear everyone's story and u fg sisters please pot your answers.
Re: ? For those whom are married.
Fuzo and I first saw each other the summer of 1989 at a fest. WE did not talk but our eyes surely connected. Over a course of 6 months following that, we saw each other several times but not a word to one another. Finally saw him at a club one night and I sent my brother in law over to him. Fuzo and I finally met and that was December 29 1989. Been together ever since but didn't get married till 97. Like you said there have been ups and downs but we did, and still do, stick it out and are the best friends like we should be. That can take time to get there sometimes. We got engaged on Xmas eve 1996. I wouldn't change anything about our lives together.
Thanks for sharing this MM. I love to hear these stories as well as go over ours again. Brings back lots of memory.

my wife was a checkout girl at the local grocery store. she asked me to marry her or better described as told me i was going to marry her. the proposal from me was not romantic at all. we had very little $ and i paid off a little tiny diamond ring from a pawn shop. i took her flowers to her work when she was on break . i gave them to her with the ring in it's box in the middle.

Re: ? For those whom are married.
I was in LE during the late 80's til the late 90's. Back in 1991, I was working at a welfare stamp distribution center. While talking to my partner, a woman walked up and interfered by asking me for a stick of gum. She was so cute and serious. On that note, I handed her a stick of Doublemint and asked her for her number. We were friends eversince. Last year, she asked me to marry her after 22 years of friendship. Frankly, we've been through alot of shit but we're giving our marriage a go.

A friend arranged a blind date based on us both being boating, water skiing, snowmobiling fanatics. Going to the door to pick her up I had prepared in my mind that she might be ugly and had my poker face ready......could not have been more wrong!!
First night was dinner at a local dive w good food, a movie and sitting on her back porch for hours talking and watching the Northern lights.
Dated long distance for a year. Moved to same town (my home town) and took a new job. Almost 2 years after 1st date, I took her to a nice restaurant, got down on 1 knee after dinner and she said yes. Known her for 21 years and been married for 19.

I was walking into a gym that a buddy of mine worked at in 2002. The gym owner was this beautiful tall, brassy blond. As I was talking to my buddy, I saw the owner walking accross the gym and I just said, half jokingly, to my buddy "you know, when my life settles down a little, I should ask her out". I was going through the end of a divorce from my first wife and I had no real interest at that point in pursuing another relationship. Five minutes after I left the gym, my buddy calls me and says that I need to call her as he dropped my name and she was interested. I was shocked of course but went ahead and gave her a call. Talked forever on the phone and the conversation was great. Went out on our first date the following Thursday...moved in with her 6 weeks later and were married 1 1/2 years later. Been together ever since. We are each others best friends and do everything together.
Stacker...
Re: ? For those whom are married.
My ex was never taught to be romantic.. Being old school from mexico he was more of a machismo type of guy. I was young when I met him when I was 13 and only romance I saw was in the movies so I figured since it was fake it didn't need to be romantic.. At 17 one night at my moms he says " We will get married in 6 months " .. Since he was and is the only man I been with I figured thats the best I was gonna get in the romance department so I said ok.. Pretty lame like that lol..
Re: ? For those whom are married.
It was a spring rainy day and I just got back from the lake from fishing. I stalled my car in a roadway that was flooded and so I took off on foot to find a local store to make a phone call. Yes...( This was 20 years ago and if you needed to make a call you looked for a pay phone.) I walked in the little convenience store and at the counter was this totally gorgeous girl. Blonde, Blue Eyes, and a body to die for. I asked for change for a buck and then our eyes met. It was love at first sight. We both were like little kids all embarrassed & yet excited to at the same moment. I asked her for her phone number and latter that day we talked for hours. We went on a few dates and we both feel in love with one another. Within 6 months we married and have been together now 20 years. She's been my rock through good & bad times. She has given me a beautiful family and completed my life. I couldn't imagine life without her.
