Some people don't even touch the sodium.
Is this your first time competing? How heavy are you? How tall?
Yes generally blast sodium...then cut it for 24 hours, then hit it hard again the night after the weight ins, or the morning of the show.

This was my 3 comp. I'm in the -90kg category 175cm. The next is in 2 week,and the another in 4 week. I need to hit the correct ration for the sodium/water load before I start carb loading.
I think I have been in something like 26 shows.
Never did I use a formula like you are describing.
I don't load sodium and I don't pull it.
I don't know how to advise. Based on your question. I just hope
you are peeled and dry now. No water holing drugs. . Keep estrogen low
Water high and pushing. Then IMO. Carb up early don't wait till it's too late

Youre correct, MANY of competitors dont ever do the sodium manipulation. When done wrong, everything will be wasted within 24 hours, but when done right, certainly striations, vascularity and fullness will show at its best.
Something to look at also is whether you are natural or juicer.
I have done around 10 comps and never did the sodium thing.
I have done it with my natural clients however, and it has worked so so incribly.
