Re: Are you afraid to cry?
My eyes tear up easy. I dont exactly cry like a baby, but I can shed a tear over lots of things. The other night at the hospital, a nurse told me she lost her husband 3 weeks ago when she got home from work she found him dead of cardiac arrest at age 41. Two little kids. Seeing her upbeat and positive attitude, tears started welling up in my eyes.It was moving.
When I drive by that place where that drunk driver killed those 3 girls, yes, my eyes well up with tears.
Theres a time and a place to cry. One place to NEVER cry is when a chick dumps you. That is one time when it doesnt help a man to cry, at least not in front of her LOL Good way to lose your dignity.
I think one time I was on clomid and I cried more then. Sheesh now I feel stupid LOL

I cry whenever I watch movies...like a mofo. Cliffhanger makes me cry like a 3 year old. And just about any movie that has a soft part to it.
I also cried for months after my break up this past year.
But yeah bro, on clomid I am a ****iining mess myself. I can't control it, I get so emotional WTF
Of course normal people don't know I am on clomid so they wonder what is wrong with me :D

Re: Are you afraid to cry?
naaa. i'm not afraid...its a good release of emotions...good or bad...the birth of my daughter...she almost died just before birth...i felt helpless... even after she was born, she wouldnt take that first breath...they took her out of the room and was rushing her donw the hall..they were trying to explain to me what was going on and iall i caught was "not breathing, brain damage or death"...and i was scared to death!! as we went into this room all these baby's werte hooked to machines...3 or 4 of them...i couldnt stand it...the helplessness i felt...my little girl...took us 4yrs for my wife to get pregnant and now...this? well...as everything was going on,,,they were getting machines over to hook her up and a little baby respirator and all this fukin shyt and as the head nurse was explaining about her needing to take a deep breath and cry so her lung open and she breaths, they were trying everything they could "by law"... i heard the older nurse tell a younger one"....thats why we used to spank them at birth...but someone decided that was abuse, so now this.."...wtf?? really??! I'LL SAPNK HER ASS!!!! i lift up that little leg and smacked that tiny ass!!!
she took in this deep breath and let out the LOUDEST scream!!! and all the anxiety left the room...all the nurses smiled and my little girl was handed to me....i cried like a baby!!!
now....17yrs later...something will happen....her first prom.... or getting her driver license...it really can be just a little bullshyt nothing...but i remember that day...i think about how i could be missing this so easy...and i'll cry. i'll hug her and cry a little....
so...i dont think your a man if you dont cry...i have no doubts i'm all man.... i just can share my emotions with my little girl

Re: Are you afraid to cry?
daved your story made me tear up as well. i dont know wat i would of done to hold it together in your shoes. great brother everything is ok. but wat bad things people have gone through on this board. thats why i got out of the paramedic business, last draw was a baby caught in fire that did it. i punched my wall when i got home for long time fractured 2 fingers. but i couldnt take it no more but then i go to er nursing just as bad. so now iam content. but daved your a great guy for handling it like a man. wat a sad story. i couldnt do pediatrics or obgyn. but good ending.
Re: Are you afraid to cry?
That is some story Daved. Sorry you had to go through that, but glad to hear it worked out well.
I cry if something makes me sad, plain and simple. However, I wouldn't say it's very often that I cry over sadness, only when something truly sad occurs. I have cried when angry before, but I have to be very upset. Sad movies are my weakness though. I sit there and tell myself it's only a movies, and that the actors are merely acting, yet it still gets me.
