Yes it does. Creatine MONOHYDRATE needs to attach to water to enter the muscle. Caffeine has diuretic properties that will complicate that. Caffeine use should be minimal and water intake should be increased.
To answer your question, taking too much caffeine, or other diuretic stimulants for that mater, do complicate Creatine absorbtion and should not be used too often while trying to get the full effects of Creatine.
Also, if Coffee in the morning is your source of Caffeine - that shouldn't be too bad. But if taking 12 HydroxyCuts per/day... see where I am getting? Back to Coffee - if you are a heavy coffee drinker, you should take your Creatine with some Alka Seltzer (sodium bicarbonate) to increase absorbtion since coffee can raise acidic levels in your stomach.
Ahhhh....very nice Warrior. Thanks for the speedy reply.
I take creatine at night after my workout.I take a stacker just before wkout and a cup of coffee in the morning. This amount of caffine does not seem to be hindering too much because I am up 8 lbs since I started creatnie again about a month and a half ago.
Caffeine dehyrdrates you(to a point), Creatine makes you retain water. That's why when you buy creatine, it say's to stay away from Tea, Coffee, Sodas, etc...Quote:
