24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
Hey team,
Alright, it has been a tough month, I was away for two weeks, and only trained 3-4 times.
I am clear of travels, and I am ready to go.
I am 233lbs right today and those pics. I am still aiming at 240lbs in the next 2 weeks. then I will start to cut this beeyatch.
Starting monday 3 x 30 min cardio sessions, along with 4-5 workouts.
Currently running:
tnt 1200
supertest 800
prop 500
npp 600
30ius slin post workout
Caloric intake roughly around 5500
I have a very good NCP actual competitior prepping me for this one, I have been following his success over the last 2 years, and i really like this guy.
He already modified my workouts, and including some slight meal change plans.
My goal is to hit stage at 201 this time. but the decision will be all his, if I should stay heavy, or go lightheavy.
My goal with him is to put me in an over all winning. Which he has 6 of them in the last 8 years, so he knows his shit.
I am overly exited for this comp...from then on onto nationals
Comments from the fellas here would be awesome.
Lets prep this one together!!

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
So, are you saying you are taking 3100mg a week of shit? Plus you take 30iu of slin post work out?
Have you ever won your weight class in a nice size NPC show? If you have great I'm trying to get
a feel for the level you are at. That high of dose IMO is way over the top. Again IMO.
So, how old are you? How tall?
Have you ever been to nationals?
I tell many guys just because you placed 1st or 2nd in a NPC NQ
Does not mean you are anywhere near the national level.
Now if you have plenty of extra cash to go it is a EYE opener
Some thoughts: currently you have no visible abs.
So why add 7 pounds more of fat over the next two weeks?
To just go into a cut cycle? I don't care if you build 1# of muscle your body will not hold
It after just 14 days being on your body.
Goal to be 201#? If you are 201 then you must drop to 198#
To win a show you have to beat all class winners. So, bringing your
Best conditioning with full muscle bellies is your best. So don't
Get hung on a number get hung on having ripped glutes.
Keep working on weak spots on that body. Like upper chest, broader back
& wheels.
Best of luck.

Thank you for the comment bro, I respect you a lot. It means a lot.
I have been to nationals once, but remember that i am in Canada and NOT U.S.A , if that makes any difference.
I have qualified on two occassions to provincials, which is before nationals, and placed top 2-3 in those two competitions.
My body responds good to moderate dosages. I have run very big cycles in the past, this is a medium dosage for me.
I can't survive on 1000 mgs of test, or 1500mgs, even with the same food intake, and same workout regime, i won't respond.
Abs? I just went from 198 to 235 in a matter of 12-16 weeks. Kind of hard to show abs right now. But when I cut down, I do have a good set.
I fully agree, striated glutes WIN shows, and I always aim at this bro.
This is why this time around, I found a very very strong competitor and contest prep guru. To show me step by step how to do this thing.
I am paying him good money, so I did not cut corners there.
You are right, IF I have to drop to 195 and be in the middle of lightheavy then let it be bro. The scale is a number, but glutes and an amazing body is what will win the show.
I hope to have your support all the way from here on, and as ALWAYS your comments are very respected and appreciated.

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
I gotta say if you have only had 12-14 weeks to put on that weight as soon as you start dieting its gonna come right back off. Why don't you take 6-8 months to solidify those gains or maybe even make more before you start dieting.

I competed late last summer, and then I literally took time off from eating properly, was only training a few times per week. I was 205
Feb 2013 I cycled for 5 months hard. Went from 205 to 238
I stopped, did 2 months PCT, and dropped to 220
Took one more month off
Jumped back on 30 days ago, went from 220 to 233 right now
So I started at 220lbs and now at 233 and clibming to 240ish.
I am generally 210-215 natural when i don't juice or even follow a good meal plan.
I have built this since 8 years ago....back when I was marely 200lbs struggling. So my own bodyweight natural now a days is 220.
Everything seems to be working right, I just need to start pre now 24 weeks out, slowly modifying a few things here and there.
Most people prep 12 weeks out, or 14....I believe that NUMBER one starts to prep 20 or more weeks out.

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
good luck bro. i'll be following along. isn't 198 lbs around the top of the weight class? it's been a while since i've competed so i kinda forget
-
Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
I agree a 20 week diet should have you peeled.
My point about the abs was they are very covered now.
So, in two weeks that just means more cover. More to remove.
I see your pic I know you have abs. My thought was just based on
nothing to be gained by adding fat.
I forgot you were in Canada. You guys have some different shit going on up
there. But you can come down and compete in the North Americans if you want right?
Do you have to get permission from your federation to compete in the USA?
Best of luck,
GC

Yes bRos!!
in 2010 when I earned a 2nd place in lightheavy for Ontario I prepped hard for 16 weeks... Ketosis for 12 weeks pre show.
now 2 years later angry as fck I will prep 24 weeks and make sure I earn an invitation to ontarios ha ha
this threat here has particularly set my goal 10 times stronger!

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
That sure is a hard way to diet in Ketosis. Never have I ever hit ketosis in a diet. Thats with 26 plus shows. Carbs are fuel. cycle them at least. I tend to find a level of daily carbs and burn them up each day. I always felt if I lower cards too much I did not burn as well.
Looking forward to seeing this thread as the weeks progress.

Great advice on carbs. Good luck with your prep, B2J4E!

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
It has been 1 weeks since my post I believe.
I am currently sitting at 236----running clen and t3 as an expeirment. I have leaned down A LOT, while adding 2-3lbs of weight.
I have also modified my intake to higher carbs, low fats, high proteins right now.
I will stop the clen/t3 combo in the next 5 days. It was just a trial for the fun of it.
I feel good.
Today I went to see a show here a level 1, it was intense. Visualizing my own prep.
I am still trying to hit 240 before I start to play with calories.
Right now I am probably around 7000 cals per day

The way it works:
Level 1
then provincial
then nationals---
then north americans for a pro card
The organization I compete with is affiliated with IFBB. The onwer Ron Hatchet is an IBFF olympia judge (for over 20 years already)
I can go an compete in the U>S A anytime. But NPC level bbders are the best in the world, I still need a solid 2-3 years before I can enter the north americans.

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
Can somebody shine in here please.
I have been advised to run primo from here until the show, at around 800 to 1000mgs ew. Lots of great benefits behind it.
Primo will cost me around 90.00 for 10mls 200mgs each. I am willing to add this to my prep now, as long as I know it will do more good than bad.
Any views on this?

What is your prep guy telling you to do about the primo? You got to listen to the man you have put all your faith in.
Let us know how he does tomorrow. Saturday 9th.

I am on a Canadian private site with a few national comp guys.
No my prep guy...him and I tied a deal 2 weeks ago, it is official that he is prepping me.
But he has only split my routines differently, and has me on 7000 cal intake---quick acting carbs mostly.
He wants me at 240lbs...I am currently 238lbs. I suspect in a few days I will hit 240 or so.
But he has not been in depth with me just yet...as I want him to handle his show first, then take care of me with full advice.
I have never used primo in the past, but was looking into advice given.
Yes GotClen at the end of the day, when my guy is ready, he will be all I will listen to day and night.
I will post follow ups and progress on here often.
I am exited, if you were to look at this guy last 2 shows, he is incredibly defined. He is probably around 5'8 or 5'9 off season 250-260 from what I have seen him at.
I just saw 3 of his clients who are competing, one of them lightheavy...and holy fck he will bring home big trophy for sure. VERY good conditioing.
Yes his show is tomorrow....

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
I'm not a big fan of primo it's just so mild and you have to take so much I'm a bigger fan of masteron

Re: 24 weeks out begins now!! Time to step on stage again fellas
I watched his entire video and posing routine a few days ago, this guy is the real deal.
He is going to North Americans once again.
he had himself and 4 other of his clients, they all placed and are heading to North Americans.
I spoke to him for over an hour on the phone last night, this fella knows his shit IMO.
Gave me a complete break down of what the week 16---week 9-8 week 4would look like, starting with how he is going to manipulate my nutrition, water, workouts....and gave me an in depth approach on what gear i will take, why, and what to expect.
Defenately not a cookie cutter kinda of guy.
All and all watching his placing, his routine, and then speaking to him over an hour to get things started, gave me a true sense what kind of prep this will be.
He is aiming at putting me on stage at 195, which is middle of the lightheavies, but conditioned as fuck.
He looked at my 2 last comps, and looked at my current off season pics, and broke them down to a "T", explained all the "Y"s behind our actions.
His water manipulation technique is unreal...on my end I have to do this thing right, and follow his every single word.
the show that I am competing in, is the toughest of the year, simply because it is the first of the 2014 calendar, and every guy there generally hits nationals shortly after. So I have to be that ONE guy with glutes and xmas tree.
I am full of drive going into this one, a couple of lower back injuries, but fuck it< I work smart now a days.
