Re: R U Better Than Others?
i would say no. i honest to god just dont like being like everyone else. that's why i do what i do. i am a freak in my own way. i guess that's the only way you can get in there knowing your going to make yourself dry heave almost pass out and then go outside in the 100 + heat and drag heavy shit outside. better nah, just different but then again i am also a closet doughnut loving fat kid
Re: R U Better Than Others?
I agree guns. I also have no desire to be like someone else not think I am better than them in any way.
Re: R U Better Than Others?
I think this question has more to do with the animal in us vs stature over another in the way most think of it. I've always been the guy that got the call when the shit was about to hit the fan. As a young an immature man I took great pleasure in breaking people I guess to show my dominance over them. It's why I went a long way in the game of football also on another note it was nice to be able to release there. The intellectuals think they are better because they are smarter and I guess you could say we are better because we are feared due to size and strength. We both have things to offer just in different ways and who is better is purely situational to me. In a spelling bee they got me but if one of us has to eat and there's no food to be found I will start with their glutes.

lol the last part made me laugh. Interesting perspective!
Re: R U Better Than Others?
Better ??? I don't know !!!
Sometimes I look at people and see so much dispair and I look at myself and I do say " I'm better than that guy " but I mean maybe some people were dealt shitty hands in life , or maybe they went down the wrong path , idk , but I do find myself comparing my situation to others situations and I do think I'm better . Does that make me a bad person ? I don't think so . I just think I choose to be in a certain group where it makes me alittle more elite as far as body definition . Not too many can do what we do !!! So in that respect I am better !!!
Re: R U Better Than Others?
No one is better than the other. For me the only statement that matters has already been said. We are all equall in God's eyes. I understand and even agree with some of the statements made above, but I think we're forgetting we are different not better. We have all heard it a thousand times if we were all the same it would be a boring world. Not to mention nobody would notice my big muscles if we were all the same lol. Thank God were all different.

Re: R U Better Than Others?
I try not to compare myself to others. better or worse. feeling better IMO is narcissistic and comparing to someone "better" is jealousy.
emotions that do not help me in any way in my journey. I am just me and I choose to be the best I can with what I have.

great point jipped and this is exactly how i look at myself. i am always trying to either be better, leaner stronger or faster than i was yesterday. anything less than that is sub par performance in my book. i always go into competing knowing that their is always someone that is bigger and better than me possibly but if i came in better than my last showing then i am winning regardless of who shows up

Re: R U Better Than Others?
My girlfriend and I were both reading this thread and we feel pretty much the same as Rake. Sometimes people are just plain disgusting to us. Not just how they let their bodies go but their personality as well.. Not everyone cares about getting strong and/or muscular, and that's fine. For the people who are just average, if they're genuinely good people, then no we don't feel we are any better then them because of our hobby. For us it's the absolute slobs that sicken us. We both wait tables and we encounter some disgusting people not just on the outside but the inside. Yes, we feel we are better than those people.

I guess it is all in how one looks at things... Again, no right or wrong imo. Better off? Maybe.... Better? Nah.

True. For the way that my lady and I feel doesn't make us right. It is how we feel though.
Re: R U Better Than Others?
We both share these same type of feelings about homeless people. Yes, there are some out there that have mental problems and/or issues that cause them to be homeless. Although, many of them wish to be homeless on their own accord simply because they do not want to do anything or participate as active and constructive citizens in society. We feel the same about these people. We believe they are lower than we are. In a way it makes me sick to my stomach. Although i honestly feel like it would be MORE difficult to be homeless than just to get a job under the table and start working your way towards a normal life.
Re: R U Better Than Others?
I tend to look at people and wonder how old they are. Like damn, that guy is 10 years younger than me and looks like he is 80. lol Or damn, that guy is my age!Im sure glad I dont look like that lol
Re: R U Better Than Others?
Theres this girl I see around. Kind of chubby. A girl you wouldnt look twice at. Very plain fat face. But once she starts talking , holy crap. The sweetest person you ever saw. Always smilin and has a nice word to say to everyone. Just saying, she looks a lot better once you see the personality come through. Not that I want to bone her or anything , just sayin. People should work on their personality when its all they got

guns, fighting these 20-30 year old kids has humbled me. I realize I cannot keep up with them anymore. so I being the best I can be with no external will to be like another takes more self confidence and self determination. IMO a goal dependent on another is not a good goal.
